Hey everyone, I'm new here and I have a pretty urgent question for those of you more knowledgeable than myself.
A friend and I were planning to do VIP 'roo this year, but he has decided to bring his girlfriend along, and I don't think he knew about the fact that VIP tickets are only sold in pairs. I was looking around on the Bonnaroo website, though, and found that you can buy a VIP upgrade package. Could someone explain exactly how this works? I know that you must first purchase a GA ticket and then buy the upgrade package, but I am a bit confused as to the finer details of this. Will I still get the stuff that comes with a regular VIP ticket? i.e. the VIP wristband, merchandise, VIP entrance, etc.
New poster here, so I hope this is the right place to post! Thank you very much in advance for any information you can give me!

Not sure about the VIP upgrade, but usually on eBay and other sites you see single VIP without the parking pass for right at (and sometimes lower) then 1/2 the VIP price. Though with Sir Elton coming, this may change the VIP situation.

Yes you get all the access maybe not the same merchandise. i did upgrade with the shuttle package a few years back and they gave me the updated bracelet. They probably will do the upgrade ay check in.
^ Correct. A single VIP upgrade gives you ONLY the wristband; typical VIP package merch (poster & shirt) is NOT included. You basically pay more to get less, which sucks. But at least it's a hassle-free way to get VIP access.

You actually do get everything in the regular VIP package. I did the VIP upgrade this year & got a voucher for the poster & shirt. Plus I have two lunch boxes!

I'm sure this has been retreaded a zillion times here, but can anyone give a concise list of differences of between VIP and general admission? It would be much appreciated for this newbie. I've searched the threads but have not come across a really good explanation. Is VIP just a less crowded/frustrating experience or are there any other perks? Basically, I want to know that I'm going to have a blast and didn't shoot myself in the foot by not going VIP.
We're doing GA this year but are open to doing VIP in the future if we love the festival. Also, will there be anyway to upgrade at actual festival?

Those are just a few.
Larger camping spots? How much larger we talking here? Never seen anything definitive on the exact size of the spots. Everything I've read pretty much states the width of your vehicle with doors open and however far behind your vehicle you can claim.

They are noticeably larger, Bonnaroo has verified this. I am not sure on exact dimensions.
Edit, found this picture of vip campsite in another thread.
