2/3 of the way through first listen and wow just wow. I had very very high expectations for this album, and as of now this album has certainly met - perhaps even surpassed - them.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

In the same feature, Blake also chatted with Pitchfork about working with Beyoncé on her new album Lemonade. He revealed that Blue Ivy was a big fan of his contributions: "She was singing along to the song, which was a huge compliment, because kids just don't have any pretense whatsoever."
Nah, sorry, Radiohead isn't gonna make the cut this year. Obviously it's presumptuous to make this claim, but I'm convinced this album is better than Radiohead's will be. It's definitely better than King of Limbs and In Rainbows were for me.
After listening about 10+ times, I think I'm ready to say that I prefer Overgrown to this. After a while his sound tends to blend together from song to song, and while I couldn't say specifically which tracks I would cut, I think it could stand to be pared down some. I'm really loving Points and I Need a Forest Fire and Love Me In Whatever Way, but there are a few songs that I just don't remember when I'm not listening to it. It's still a very good album and Lord knows I'm happy to have new James Blake in my life as he's one of my favorite artists, but it didn't floor me the way Overgrown did when I heard it for the first time. This being said, it's still my favorite album of the year IIRC, but I feel like that'll change over the course of the month.
