I saw him in Denver. It was a great show. I just hope they don't fuck this up and schedule him in a way I can't wait for the front for Frank Ocean or Kanye.
Those fuckin' lights had me trippin' balls, son. Felt like I was in a dance club and a smokey jazz club all at the same time. Although the guy next to me snorting coke every 4 seconds really took some enjoyment away from it, but I got over it. I was super excited he did "A Case of You".

I split this half and half (saw from I am sold on) and I was blown away. I almost cried at one point it was so beautiful. Wasn't totally sure if this would be something Id enjoy live even though I love his albums but holy shit.
Also, was the amazing sound quality of this show/bass credit to his setup or That Tent? I had a big problem with The Other Tent this year and I'm just curious.
I heard several people saying this was one of their favorite shows of the weekend. My dumbass was waiting at Lauryn Hill, who showed up 45 mins late. I got bored at Hill and left and he was finishing up. So I heard right when he started and right when he finished. It bummed me out to hear how good his set was. Definitely dropped the ball on this conflict choice.

Left right before Retrograde for dumb reasons. Still, the 90% I saw was amazing. It was a little slow in the middle, but hearing A Case of You was fantastic. Really, really good set. Glad I was able to see most.

ahh you were so close to finishing!
See I expected it to be slow. I actually kinda wanted to just relax and hear him. Most of what I saw wasn't commanding the crowd to move or dance, but I think just about everyone was blown away. Even when i walked out people were still singing Retrograde and Wilhelms and i said something to one of them and he was just like "James can make a grown man cry." Everyone I talked to was so happy about this set.
One of the best sets of the weekend. I missed the last few songs 'cause some girl asked me to take her to the medical tent. I freaked when he started with those two old songs.
Sucks that I had to miss this but Cut Copy took priority.
I split them half and half and while cut copy was so much fun, this will have the longer lasting effect on me and I wish I would have just been here the whole time. It was a crazy hour or so between the two of them.
I was on the rail right in front of the speakers and I had to hold on to my nose to keep it from vibrating off. One of the best sets of the weekend for sure. He's an angel.

BUMP
So excited about a new album today, I've been holding out on listening to any music he's put out since Overgrown (besides the Beyonce song). Can't wait to hear it tonight with fresh ears and stomach full of Mexican food/booze
