Whoops, I think you left a few acts off the billing. Also, would Weezer really be booked that low?
I left the top four off for the sake of this being the undercard thread. And yeah, I could certainly be wrong on that, and I think I am wrong, especially because of their new album having success.

I was referring to Lana Del Rey, Pixies, Childish Gambino, Portugal. The Man, etc.

everyone keeps speculating portugal. the man, and I don't understand why. they played in 2013 right after evil friends dropped, and it doesn't appear that they have anything on the horizon.
I know they have an awesome relationship with roo, and I definitely wouldn't complain because I love them [john gourley], but it would be surprising to me if they were back this year.

I was comparing the proposed schedule to the proposed billing. But I agree, it seems like most people are hopeful despite the fact that they haven't announced plans for a new album or tour in 2015. Supposedly, they told someone during their secret set in 2013 that they're planning on being back in 2015 for a LN set. I think that's where most of the speculation comes from.

ahhh, interesting!
I've seen p.tm 5 times, so I'm kind of indifferent. but clearly I wouldn't be mad about it either.

Damn, my bad, I'm slackinn. And yeah! I'm just including Portugal. the Man because their remark about coming back to do a LN set. Though, I agree, it would make much more sense if they waited until after they release another album.

Bonnaroo tends to show a little extra love towards some artists, for whatever reason. I'd say Portugal. The Man are a favorite of theirs just like they also love Alabama Shakes and Haim. They sometimes give these acts a bit more attention on social media and promotional stuff and they've also gotten "special" slots at Roo like parades and other things.
So a lot of folks wouldn't be surprised if they were brought back. I do agree that it's probably too early.

True. The Avett Brothers are another good example. Haven't they played every other year since 2006?

They are actually touring and were just announced at Buku. I have seen them 3 times and would be all about seeing them twice more this year.

totally! that's what I was attempting to allude to when I said they have an awesome relationship with roo.
they played BLAM for the 2013 lineup announcement too, didn't they? I remember bumping into their secret show in 2013 and freaking out - if they do come back, they better top that and when they played dayman with weird al.
The validity is questionable because none of the major music news sources have reported that they're working on a new album, but it wouldn't surprise me given how frequently they put out new albums.

I'm okay PTM coming back rather soon, but give them LN please.
Still pissed with how they was scheduled in 2013.
I was struggling to recover from the night before and I missed the set. I really want to see them.
it was my favorite set outside of the headliners that year. the realization they were playing dayman --> weird al coming out to play with them --> closing with hey jude after macca playing the night before was just perfect.
portugal the man 09 was the first show i ever saw at bonnaroo. it changed my life. that being said, i really wish they would play more sets like that. not big on most of the stuff post censored colors. the newest one is pretty decent though.
it would be kind of rad to see another electronic-influenced superjam this year - flume & chet faker come to mind.
fuck. those two should just do a combined set. and maybe they'll bring those disclosure boys along for funsies, too.
I've put way too much thought into this. If they do another electronic super jam it NEEDS to be curated by Flying Lotus. It's too late at night right now, but I'll come back in the morning and edit this post to support my claim that it should FlyLo. Though, it really shouldn't take much convincing if you know FlyLo's history with other amazing artists.

hey so I just listened to the new Marilyn Manson track "Deep Six" and its pretty rockin. I have never seen him live and would love to see him at Bonnaroo. Not sure where he would fit though.
