I don't want to be that guy, but, I heard from a friend (whom is reliable) that Lorde is in for 2015. Take it for what you will. He said he will provide proof so I'll share as soon as he sends it.
Edit: He also told me about Death Cab and Robert Plant last week which is why I put them on my fake lineup poster which I posted on the 17th. These two were just proven by Roo Clues.

Man I love Death Cab. I've been putting them on my fake lineup posters, but this was totally unexpected for me! I'm SO excited.
Sorry, I don't think you have any reason to lie. But you did say that Sunday, so I'm having trouble with the sudden flip on the scoopz.
Haha, I look stupid now but I totally meant to type The War on Drugs. I was listening to Death Cab and that's probably why. I've never attempted to make a confirmation before on here, I normally just sit back and watch because I don't want to share wrong info and stuff. And this is why LOL, I end up looking dumb.

Edit 2: I meant The War on Drugs, not Death Cab. I'm losing my quacking mind.

Hopefully this means we won't get Lana Del Ray!
But I hope it also doesn't eliminate a chance at Florence + The Machine.
I haven't seen Passion Pit discussed here too much, but they're coming out with a new album and I feel like there's a good chance they'll be at Roo. Where/when do you guys think they'd play?
I'm actually a big fan of her dancing. It feels really genuine to me as opposed to some set up routine
That is the one redeeming factor of her dancing. It's just how she dance, no matter how shitty/bizarre/scary, it IS genuine. I just wish her genuine dancing looked better. And I also just prefer the acts don't dance, they just stand up there and perform whatever instrument they play or, especially if they only do vocals, they just kinda move to the beat, minimally. I don't like choreographed numbers and i only really enjoy their dancing if they're good at it (or if they're the lead singer of future islands)

But the thrashing takes it to the next level.
Sidenote: Image a Beyonce concert with no dancing. Whaaaa?

Yes, that is a big reason I have no real desire to see Beyoncé, I LOVE her voice but I don't dig that kind of modern pop music and I don't like the big, choreographed dance routines. So, I'd never pay to go see one of her shows but I'd probably go see a couple songs if she were on the farm. But I do agree, her shows probably would be weird without the dancing and all that nonsense. Does she perform with a full band or just DJ/backtracking or what?
With Lorde, I just think of it as her version of rocking out. Either way she's a fairly compelling performer and I'll be glad to see her at the farm. Her set at Boston Calling was one of my favorites of the year

There wasn't a band for the Beyonce / Jay-z on the run tour though. Just backing tracks and massive production. Still a great show, but I really just want to see a straight up Bey show.

"Beyoncé was backed by an all female band during her solo songs, whilst Jay-Z was accompanied by other male instrumentalists; however both artist's musicians collaborated for the majority of the performance."
Kinda weird that we couldn't see their bands. Guess it's impossible to tell the difference between a live band and backing tracks when you're in damn near the nosebleeds of a dome too.

Good to hear, that makes me wanna see her more. I think I'd really love her show if she dropped all the distractions and just played her songs with a really good back up band, like Prince and Chance (I'm not comparing any of those artists talent/style, just their live performance technique) I have watched the movie that they made of the final on the run show in Paris and it really blew me away. That video of on the run is really the only reason I even kind of want to see Beyoncé.

As much shit as I will get for this, I have no desire to see Beyoncé live. I'm sure she puts on one hellava show, but I'm just not really a fan. I'm sure it would be enjoyable to watch and she's very talented, but she's just not my thing. I only know maybe two songs by her. If she headlined, I would of course watch, I just wouldn't go out my way to see her. Jay Z is another story.
