Okay disclaimer, first 'roo and no experience with festivals, so bear with my n00bness, but I was just wondering what the general advice is for minimizing stress/time spent in traffic, both getting in and out of the festival. Pros and cons of getting in early vs later? Do they fill up the spots closest to centeroo first or last, or is it random? How many different entrance points are there? Is there any way to find out which ones are where, which ones you should try for, or just go and get in a line? If theres already a thread that covers this, please direct me, otherwise thanks for the advice!

If you want no traffic, get there Wednesday night at like 1 or 2 am(actually thursday morning). This is what we did by chance when we left Pennsylvania about 10am on Wednesday. The traffic increases from that morning on. You get there on Thursday or Friday you will probably wait a few hours. We waited about 10 minutes in line at the gates, that's all. However, to answer another of your questions, we had to camp about 20-25 minutes away from centeroo. They put the first people to arrive in the back I think.. You can find more threads on this subject. It is kind of random though. I think there is one entrance point. If there is more than one I would also love to know.
There's definately more than one entrance. You have the main entrance on I 24 and then the one on bushy branch rd., where there is actually multiple "tollbooths". I don't know how much it's changed since 04 but, I do know that I 24 is the way to go.
We like to go in early like wednesday night so that we can set up. You get in quick and then have time to acclamate yourself with the grounds and then really relax and watch everybody else file in. The only down side, you my think, is that you get put further back, but after doing this 2 times it does not bother us at all. So it is up to you. I think getting in early setting up and chillin works best. Good luck....
I am driving by myself and I really hope I don't have to wait to long in line. I am plannin on leaving real early on Thursday like 1:00 am or so. Not sure if thats a good idea or not, being a 6 hour drive.
From the looks of previous 'roo pics, it seems like vehicles are packed in together pretty tight. Are there ways to avoid being trapped in the camping/parking areas? Is there a special lot with easy outs for those that aren't camping or that have to leaving the festival early?
This is my first 'Roo, so I'm trying to get a handle on all the angles.
