I don't think Pusha T will be on Thursday. He's been around for years and his track "Nosetalgia" with Kendrick was one of last year's top hip-hop songs, according to critics. I think he'll get a daytime tent set.
Which of these bands would you consider as the best acts on the lineup?
If we're just going off the presumption that it'll be mostly the lowest-billed?

Meshuggah isn't going to be Thur., Deafheaven may be or may be opening the metal tent Fri., Polica may be and that would be one I wasn't counting as Thur. Cloud Nothings is one I was counting. Seun Kuti won't be Thur. Pusha T probably won't be Thur.

Why don't you think those bands will be Thursday? I'm particularly interested as to why everyone seems to be sure there will be a "metal tent." In both 2008 and 2010 Bonnaroo featured a metal act on Thursday, rather than just lumping them in with the heavier stuff on another day. Also, by my count there are only three "metal" acts, not enough for its own tent, really. So either the "metal" tent is going to feature bands which have fuck-all to do with metal, or the three heavier acts will be spread about.

Mastodon and Meshughah have already listed Fri. I believe. Deafheaven may open that tent. There will be other bands that are not metal mixed in there.

So if you're already conceding that "there will be other bands that are not metal mixed in there," why are you so certain that Deafheaven must open this metal tent which really isnt? I'd say their poster position is far more indicative of when they might play than some perceived and admittedly flawed belief that there will be a "metal tent."
With only three metal acts thus far, I'd say there's an equally likely chance that Deafheaven plays Thursday, then Meshuggah and Mastodon play back-to-back late night Friday as counter programme to all the EDM.

I guess you know better than I do, I've only been following that kind of thing for almost 10 years. I don't see what your issue is, I said that may be there and they may be Thur.

You've been following what "kind of thing for almost 10 years?"
My only issue is that peole seem to be thinking that thre's this "metal tent," and that Deafheaven needs to be included, when as it stands there aren't nearly enough "metal" acts for such a tent and with Deafheaven's billing it seems equally, if not more, likely that they'll be Thursday. I honestly don't care either way, it just seems that people love to make assumptions as to how these acts have to line up and that seems like folly to me.

It's called past experience. We're saying that because they have done it before. Sometimes they do have another metal band play alone on Thur. though. Which I've already said is a possibilty 3 times.

I've attended Bonnaroo every even-numbered year since 2006. So I'll counter your past experience with the fact that in 2008, they had the Sword on Thursday night, then Mastodon in the middle of the day later that weekend. Yes, there was a "metal tent' in 2012 and 2010, but those lineups also had more than three heavy acts. So saying "they have done it before" doesn't really mean much when you cannot compare the situations.

lol sangs gonna sang
I don't think Meshuggah will be on Thursday either, but there's not gonna be a metal tent. Just Meshuggah and Mastodon back-to-back like The Sword and Opeth a few years ago. It'd be cool if they gave that a LN like @foxandhound suggested.

I believe the only year they had metal all day was 09. Every year since it's been a couple/three metal bands mixed in with maybe a punk band or something similar. I still call it the metal tent.

That would be horrible.
I don't understand what you're saying. What would be horrible?
Mastodon & meshuggah playing the same time as kaskade & zedd
Well, Kaskade and Zedd are going to be on separate nights. Technically in my scenario Mastodon and Meshuggah would only play against one of those two. And I doubt there's much overlap, in this scenario anyone with a hint of class will be avoiding Kaskade/Zedd like the plague.

I like to think I have class and I'll be at zedd. Maybe kaskade and idk about skrillex yet. I've already seen him there once. I've been wanting to see mastodon for years so I'd probably be there. As long as they're not against zedd all is well.
Well, I'd like to think you do as well but your planned patronage of "Zedd" doesn't bode well for our hopes now, does it? I'll keep my fingers crossed.
I bet Cloud Nothings plays Thursday. Their new album drops soon as it's gonna explode (as much as an indie punk band can). I for one am thrilled they will be there, been following them since Baldi was putting out lo-fi recordings on Myspace. He played a free garage fest in Lawrence, KS back in like 2010 to 5 people.
I'd be okay with a Thursday night Darkside set too. Ty Segall seems like a safe bet too.

Haha fair enough. I mean I know he's not the best edm artist by far but it's going to be a fun show. As for Thursday I'm hoping break science, zz ward and city and colour kick off the weekend. City and Colour may be billed too high and too popular. I just found them after the lineup drop
J. Roddy Walston and the Business. They're actually one of the bands I'm looking most forward to seeing.
All of this is spot on plus your pic is dope. I'll see you up front.
Haerts also seems likely for Thursday along with St. Paul and the Broken Bones, unless they get a cafe spot.
I may be jumping in here, but St. Paul is a must go if you are going. I hope they are on Thursday as that is actually my best night to explore new bands live.

Thursday's have always been that for me. Plus, there's the extra buzz because everyone just got to the farm.
Saw St. Paul open for the Truckers on Saturday. Enjoyed it and expect whoever watches to get into it. The band is very tight and the guitar player is fantastic.
