Thoughts on Kauai vs Because the Internet after your first listen of both?
Can't believe I forgot to respond to this. I listened to them both again over the weekend, and I think that Because The Internet was better the second time when I read along with the little storyboard he made up to go with it. There were some songs that I imagined being fun live, but it stood out last year because rap as a whole was underwhelming in 2014. Kauai definitely wasn't BAD by any means, but I'd have to listen to it a couple more times for any of the songs to be really memorable. I didn't listen to STN MTN, I'm not sure if you're supposed to when you listen to Kauai, but it wasn't on Spotify and I didn't give any effort to go out and find it. I'd say if you liked Camp or any of his early stuff you should listen, it's not like his style has really changed.
