Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
For some people, camping is just not possible. For that, I thought I would offer some input on the hotels for Bonnaroo for this year. They are the same as last year. Before I begin.... "hotels are for the weak"... "you can't go to Bonnaroo and not camp".... "it's not the same experience".... "You have to camp".... Etc etc etc.
For the official hotels, you have Select Inn and Embassy Suites. Both are in Murfreesboro (about ten miles away from each other and thirty minutes away from Bonnaroo). The hotel option is the best option if you are going solo and not confident with camping, older or do not think your body can handle the outdoor lifestyle, have bad allergies and can't handle dust, etc etc. it does take a lot away from the experience but it's also a great alternative... especially if you are young and want an arguably safer option (and can afford it).
Embassy Suites is about $300 higher than Select Inn. Embassy Suites is in a great part of Murfreesboro. It's in a quite little area offset from a shopping center containing Dicks (supplies!) and some decent dining places pre or post Roo. It's very clean with huge rooms. It's basically like a small apartment. It's also set up like an indoor reversed hotel with the middle completely open and rooms (of course) side by side.
Select Inn is the cheaper option. It's in a slightly shadier area, but not "bad". A friend of mine stayed here last year and highly recommended it. She said it was "okay" which is all she needed since the majority of her time was going to be at Bonnaroo. She just wanted a place to sleep and shower. It has a great Mexican restaurant, too, which I think is next to it.
The staff at both places got thumbs up from my friend and I. They also offered a shuttle to and from every hour. This started about 9 or 10 AM and ended maybe 3 or 5 AM (if I am not mistaken). I met a ton of people just from the shuttle commutes. You will be given a neck-badge you can wear/store that you will show them for boarding. Both hotels use the same shuttle service.
The majority of your time is going to be at Bonnaroo. So the decision will depend on if you have the money and which area you feel safer staying in... Hopefully, this offers a little insight in the two... if you can't camp (which is always the most fun option).

The past two 'roos i've stayed at the ramada in murfreesboro. Good experiences both times.
-Older building, has that funny older hotel smell. Not so bad. -Fridge in the room. -Bathrooms kind of small. -Publix nearby (driving distance). -Krystal across the street, 24 hours I think. -Waffle House a bit down the road. Started my mornings here. -Nice size rooms, comfortable bed, a/c gets REAL nice and cold.
This year I'm booked at the Baymont in Murfreesboro. The Ramada went up this year, the Baymont was half the price. Fairly well reviewed on tripadvisor, we'll see how it goes.
I need to update this for future reference for those interested. Bonnaroo is outstanding this year but never ever ever ever stay at the Sleep Inn (hotel cheap package). It's quite the opposite of the Embassy Suites and easily the worst hotel I have ever stayed in...
i went the cheaper route this year to save money (and a few people told me it wasn't horrible last year). This year started with someone's gum (and a curly hair) attached to my bed blanket, a lack of an plumbing drain covers (I can see pipe for days) for the sink or tub, a smell of a 70's hotel, no night security besides your door except for one dude playing computer games (all rooms are accessed by unlocked outer doors), and bathroom towels that had to have been here in the 70's (and after 40 years of washing, basically thin shreds of cloth).
If you stay here just be aware of the obvious - it's low maintenance and cheap for a reason. I will say the staff seem friendly and the Mexican place next door is great, though.
Someone told me Bonnaroo's deal with the hotels end this year and they were keeping Embassy and dropping Sleep Inn (as well as adding two other hotel options). Sounds like great news to me. Just be aware of what you are getting into... this is a one star hotel for a reason. Someone needs to buy this place and remodel - it is at a good location and has potential for a good little hotel if cared for properly.
