First time attendee. Considering going VIP but I'm going solo so I'd have to either buy a single ticket on the secondary market, buy a ticket + VIP upgrade, or buy a pair of VIP tix and then sell the other one.
Looking through past threads, it seems like 4-day GA tickets don't sell out and often sell for less than face as the fest approaches (this seemed to be especially the case in 2013). Does the same hold true for VIP tix? If so, it would seem to make the most sense to wait.
Because of the prohibition of selling tix on the message boards it's harder to get an accurate picture. Anyone who is a 'roo veteran have an opinion?

The last two years i have been strapped for cash and had to wait to buy my ticket basically last second, Ive been fortunate enough to have bought my ticket off of a third party vendor from individuals who werent going to make it to the farm and where just trying to unload their tickets. Both years Ive paid what people paid for on the first level of prices. But then again my friend tried the same thing and was looking at tickets being sold for 450 on stubhub.
I also got a GA ticket for $200 last year the week before the festival on Stubhub. There were issues with shipping it and I had to pick it up at the UPS center literally on my way to Manchester. I won't be cutting it that close again, but as long as it doesn't sell out, you should be fine. Granted, VIP might be a different story, but I remember seeing VIP tickets available last year.
