I really appreciate the thought. I did look into volunteering actually, but I can't get all that time off for work since I'm going to Firefly the next weekend too. We'll just have to make sure to meet up at the festival at some point!

I thought about volunteering at firefly too. But I won't know for sure if I get that time off until a few days before so I figured it wasn't worth the risk. This year my time for roo is guaranteed.

I have to figure out my friends' situations with Roo cause as of right now there is a decent chance that I am going to be heading down alone as well. If that is the case I would love someone to ride down with. I can probably get back to you in a week or two if you don't find someone right away. I also want to arrive Wednesday and leave Monday, and it would probably be a 3-4 hour drive to meet up where I live depending on where exactly you are in upstate NY.
My situation seems similar to yours - going solo, Wed-Mon, and hitting up Firefly the weekend after. I'm in South Jersey, so logistics might be an issue, but splitting gas and driving responsibilities sounds nice lol.

Being that I grew up in Russell and currently live in Pittsburgh, I feel it only appropriate that I respond to your post. I am still working out the driving situation, but I have driven down every year that I've gone (this will be year 7).
