So from what I hear this seems to be the better entrance. The directions mapquest gives me this
13.Merge onto I-24 E via EXIT 86 on the LEFT toward CHATTANOOGA / KNOXVILLE / I-40 E. 63.6 miles 14: Take the TN-53 exit- EXIT 110- toward MANCHESTER / WOODBURY. 0.2 miles 15: Keep RIGHT at the fork to go on TN-53 / WOODBURY HWY. 0.8 miles 16: Turn LEFT onto MURFREESBORO HWY / US-41 S / TN-2 E.
That is directly into Manchester though...anyone know the exact address of Bonnaroo?
Should I just stay on I-24 E to get right to the Bonnaroo entrance that people are talking about?
Bonnaroo is off of Bushy Branch Rd on the other side of the Interstate. Last year if you were coming from Nashville/Murfreesboro they had all exits after 105 blocked off and directed you down to exit 127 and then back up highway 41.
I have always had good luck with I think it s exit 112 strait into the camp off I 24 North, a couple hour wait in 2004 but no line last year Thursday evening, plus I have heard of Crazy wait times on the Back Roads. -Brian
this is my first year to the roo and we're driving from florida in a rv and want to know what the best route to get into rv campsite if we arrive around 7am on thursday. thanks.
Coming from Nash...The main roo exit will be 110. You will see traffic!! When you get off this exit you will circle around and be headed east. You will cross over the interstate and see a gas station/market on the right called "Kangeroo" (Used to be Golden gallon for you vets) you will turn right, right there at that store onto Ragsdale Road. This rd will fork to the right onto Bushy Branch rd.
From there, follow the traffic.
They may make you go down to exit 127, if they do, don't go to HWY 41, get back on the interstate going W, back toward Manchester, when you get back to Manchester go past exit 114 to the temporary exit 112. You will enter the roo grounds directly off the interstate.
Hint: if you can turn around before you get to exit 127 and get headed back toward Manchester, do so (Exits 114 or 117)

An RV will be parked in a section of GA (if your not VIP) with all the other RVs, separate from the cars and tents.
I don't think it really matters what entrance you take ( somebody help me here)....
edit: Don't forget, if your taking an rv, you have to buy the extra rv pass they sell. Its only 1 per rv, not 1 per person..

i know there is lots of speculation about gates. but the temporary exit off of 24 west is the way to go. the past 2 years we took that entrance around 7 am and got awesome spots. we could see the main stage both years. and last year they werent letting people in that entrance wednesday night. we were the second car in line at one of the check in tent things. and we sat there for 45 minutes before they opened the gates and started letting cars go in. bushy branch sucks!! obviously things could changed. but i am positive that its your best bet. last year i could seriously throw a baseball from our car and hit leos flag in the inforoo tent only area!
oh ya and the cops might roll by and tell you to go to a different spot. justtell them your camping in hadicapped and the roo people told you to use this entrance. worked for us.

I aggree with DUDE last year we were going east on 24 had to turn around at exit 127 and head west on 24. This was around 7am. Pulled right in off the highway. this was the way to go. 6 minute walk to centeroo. When we 1st pulled up the line looked forever long but we waited no more than an hour. the line went real fast. I hope to be able to take this way in again this year
