Zip Fizz is the best stuff ever for festival energy. 30X the electrolytes of Gatorade and massive amounts of the right vitamins. You take one of these small tubes (about as big around as chap stick, about 1&1/2 times as long) and put it in a bottle of water. Drink and enjoy clean, non jittery energy mixed with excellent hydration. Comes in handy right after you've had your face melted and mind blown and still have more shows to see. I bring about 10 per person to Roo - 2-3 a day is about right. 1 when the sun goes down and 1 sometime during LN
Where do you usually get these? I see they go for about $1.40 each but I don't necessarily want to buy a box of 12.
You can get them at Walmart in the pharmacy section near the vitamins and energy drinks in packs of 3.
But my recommendation is get the 12 pack. They're way cheaper than red bull and work a lot better. It's like shotgunning 2 5 hour energy's and 3 gatorades.

I've always used Five Hour Energy in the past but I'm not crazy about them. These look more convenient because they're smaller and probably wont my teeth feel like they have sweaters on. I'll probably take your advice and get the 12-pack then just give em to everyone else in my camp.

I have a camelback, but there is limited space to bring supplies like baby wipes, money, snacks, etc into centeroo. So, I was thinking of getting a fannypack.
This guy sells these things he calls a "wookie pack". It's basically like a fanny pack already filled with festival essentials. Band-aids, poncho, sunscreen, advil, glow sticks, koozie, sunglasses, etc. They seem a little too pricey...$28 for the bare minimum wookie pack. There are different ones with different items in it. Still the same essentials, just sort of upgraded.
What I'm getting at is, I didn't see a lot of fannypacks last year and maybe I wasn't looking hard enough, but do they come in handy? Or would it be better to bring a larger bag for ventures into centeroo?
I took a legit backpack my first year and hated it because I couldn't dance without being a dickhead to the people behind me. I recommend smaller packs, most camelbaks are perfect.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.
There are a zillion different shapes styles and colors. If you search for tactical hydration pack you'll find so many options your head will spin.
The one I just bought was some knockoff on eBay for 31$ it was OD (olive drab) Green.
Some of the better ones, if you want to spend the $ for something that will last forever and will have tons of uses, Maxpedition, 5.11, Blackhawk, Tactical Tailor and Rapid Dominance all have good sites and high quality packs.
Then there is GoRuck, but those are super pricy (start at 300 not including the bladder)
+1 for the ebay search tip! Just ordered one for myself and one for my 'Roo mate. $33, 2.5L bladder included, including delivery. That's a steal. Just hope doesn't disintegrate after first use.

Not trying to be a smartass - but why didn't you just take the pack off and dance? That's what I do...

Yes I always put my back pack between my feet during shows and shuffle it around with me while the crowd moves.

I like to pack light inside the festival gates. I never carried a pack inside a fest until last year when I began using a drawstring to carry a few items like snacks, a water bottle, and sanitary wipes. It is light enough to still be able to dance without setting it down.
Also, at a packed tent show those huge packs can take up the space of a whole other person. There have been times I've been crammed into someone's pack at show and to top it off they had a huge hat on under the pavilion.

I've lost packs like that, both from the crowd suddenly going crazy and rushing towards the rails (phoenix 2010) and from someone literally just grabbing it and running.
