I'm curious if festival goers have the opportunity to perform at the festival. whether it be in the camp grounds (DIY "stage) with speakers and a genterator, or maybe even on one of the small stages? I think it would be cool to hear from those with a very small fan base just putting out tunes. what do you guys think?

Well I have seen plenty of people in GA playing music. From a dude with bongo to someone fully plugged in. I think its more then acceptable as long as your not obnoxious with your volume to play at your campsite. There is also a stage next to a big bus in GA by the vendors that has a whole stage setup with amps and all. My friend, name drop Kurt Vile's brother Sam (His bands called Vilebred, check em out), and I were walking around and he brought his guitar. They let him plug in at bus stage and he played a few songs. The guys running it were really cool I would assume they would do the same for you.
i have seen a few people at electric forest bring their own monitors, woofer, generator and actually had Pretty Lights come out to play a set for a bit. I'm just curious if it would be doable. I think this would be a ton of fun to do the first night everybody gets in. a great kick off to the weekend. of course not too late. I do remember there being a small "set display" that people we're hanging out at right by the McFly campsite I was at the year before.

I was walking back to camp past the RVs last year and I saw a very small crowd of people dancing to a DJ setup these two guys had...I was like "quack it, I'm gonna dance some more" and joined them.

Officially, no amps. Realistically, don't play Pantera covers at 4 AM or nonstop all weekend and you might be okay. I say bring it on, but be aware that some of your neighbors may want to get a few hours of sleep. The worst that could probably happen is someone would ask you to stop. You won't get a stage inside Centeroo though.
