Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I will be attending Roo this year with three buddies of mine and we all plan on sharing a tent. The only thing I'm worried about is showing up with this tent and everyone thinking I'm an asshole for taking up so much room. Will I be okay with this tent or should I consider something smaller? Give my suggestions and ideas please Roovians.
Every year this is a question. And that's ok. You'll have more than enough room for your party.
At this point, the parking people have got this down. And there is 500 acres of land set up for camping.
In all of the years I've been to bonnaroo the only time I've had an issue with a campsite is when I was in guest camping. Because of the mud. GA camping has non ever been a problem.
Just park wide and make friends. You're going to do great things, kid.

This is key just talk to people and swing wide everything will be fine once you get there!!
Yep swing wide when parking (no matter what the parking people say....) and have your shit ready to lay out as soon as you park. Claim your space, but be considerate to others

I don't mean to disagree, but where I was camped last year the spots were all clearly marked on the ground with white lines, and they were decidedly smaller than I was used to. So if you are all coming in one car you may need to ask the parking people for your extra car pooler space, and hope they give it to you. Otherwise you may have some unhappy neighbors. Jumping out of the car, throwing a huge tarp on the ground as far away from your car as you can get it, and shouting "MINE!" as some people do, always seemed rude to me, and like a bad way to meet your neighbors.
Again, not to be a Buzz Killington, but you may have limited space, which means the people around you only get so much, too. On the other hand you could get lucky and have more space than you need. Impossible to predict, really. The tent in question would just about have covered my entire 2013 camp site, and my neighbors didn't crowd me.

I've never seen white lines at Bonnaroo for the camp sites. I did not mean to throw a huge tarp as far away as possible and claim it. I just meant to claim your space, because others may take up more than is really needed or encroach on what is fairly your space.

I saw white lines in BFE last year and everything was pretty clear. Had enough room for car, tent, and EZ-up. I think swinging wide and taking up extra space could actually be whats causing the space problems for others. As long as you stay within the obvious space that is yours everyone should be fine.
