Hey guys! This is my first post (although I've creeped for some time) and my first year going to Bonnaroo (so excited!).So I being the worry wort that I am have been really trying to make sure I have optimal camp conditions. I'm bringing a 6 person tent and ideally want a canopy (or system of two canopy / ex ups) that will cover the tent AND give us shade to chill under. I found this AWESOME hot pink gazebo / tent / canopy on Amazon. It's pretty cheap so I definitely am interested. I searched and I saw that some people have said as long as your cool with your neighbors and share your shade you can probably work in a 10x20 set up no problem but before I commit to ordering it does anyone have any thoughts? I'm thinking cut up the side walls and stitch Velcro on em so I can roll them up during the day and lower then as needed at night or if it rains.
Welcome to inforoo! I wouldn't get a shade tent with no reviews. Some of them are pretty crappy. Plus sometimes arranging your campsite can be like a game of tetris, and a 10'x20' long shade tent might just not fit. You can get 10'x10' EZ-UPs from academy sports for like $50 each. They make hot pink, though I'm not seeing it on their site right now. You can hang whatever you want from the sides to create more shade. I use fabric shower curtains. There are a bunch of great ideas if you dig around a bit.

This is exactly my plan this year. Last year (my 1st) I went in with a canopy and a 6 man tent, but quickly realized I wasn't going to have room for both. Thankfully, I had packed tons of "i might need these" type things in my bin. The zip ties, tarp and surgical drapes came in handy as privacy and shading for my EZ-Up/cot set up. I just purchased 5 different shower curtains from VarageSale.com. Maddie, will 5 be enough to completely encircle my Ez-Up to allow for privacy to change, etc? I may have to measure it out to be sure

SilentEyedStorm I honestly couldn't tell you how many shower curtains I use haha. I usually have more than one ez up in a row so I just hang them all next to each other, some wrapping around corners. I imagine 5 would be enough. Just do a trial run when you get your stuff

How many people and vehicles do you plan to take? I'd say if you had six people and three vehicles you might have enough space, but even that isn't guaranteed. So especially if it's gonna be less people and vehicles then I would look into a smaller tent and canopy.
