We are flying into Nashville late on Wednesday night and plan on spending Thursday morning buying camping gear and supplies before heading to 'roo. What we would like to do is get out of Nashville in our rental car on Wednesday night and find a hotel somewhere between Nashville and 'roo. Does anyone who knows the area have an idea of where along that highway we might be able to stay that is convenient to a Sears, Target, Walmart, etc. and also maybe a head shop (do they have those in Tennesse?). Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

McMinnville has a Wal-Mart and is right next to Manchester. We hit this Wal-Mart on our way in...just a few miles from Manchester and you come in one of the back roads not the interstate!
