Every year, one of my favorite parts of the Bonnaroo lineup being released is I get to discover a plethora of bands and musicians that I wasn't already familiar with.
Which have been your favorite acts that you weren't familiar with before the lineup release?
Mine are:
Typhoon Darkside Real Estate Caveman Classixx (technically I had heard them prior to the lineup release, but it was in the artist confirmation thread) St. Paul and the Broken Bones
Wasn't really familiar with John Butler trio and now I'm turning into a big fan, same with classixx I knew a little from them but now I'm way more familiar and really enjoying them. Banks is pretty good. Kind of weird to say but I would say Lionel Richie. I knew some of his stuff but I know more of his songs then I originally thought and he has a lot more stuff I enjoy than I realized. Ty Segall and Omar Souleyman is up there as well.

Vance Joy Real Estate Robert DeLong Allah-Las Seasick Steve there are some people I know are worth getting into but I wont try to because they will just result in conflicts like Nick Cave

Big one for me is James Blake. I'd listened a little before, but I love a good half dozen of his songs now and more are creeping up. Hopefully his conflicts don't hurt too bad.

Same here. Also Seasick Steve is awesome I forgot about him.
ZZ Ward St Paul & the Broken Bones (so much so that I'm seeing them live now in April too!) Typhoon CHVRCHES (heard about them prior to roo, but didn't really start listening to them until the confirmation thread either) Sam Smith Disclosure (see CHVRCHES explanation)
Last year was Tame Impala and the year before that, Dispatch. It's definitely Lake Street Dive this year, I'm in love. I never really got into Zedd until he was on the lineup, so I guess that counts. And Damon Albarn, I love Gorillaz but didn't know he was the frontman.
You're just too young to grasp how stylin' I really was. All the boys wanted to do me when I was 5. Actually the girls did too. My haircut was confusing.
So far I'm diggin' Lake Street Dive, MS MR, First Aid Kit, Thao and the Get Down Stay Down, Warpaint, Phosphorescent, ???? ?????, Rudimental, and Chance the Rapper. I am so nervous for schedule release.

I recommend prioritizing Jamesie; that sub-bass live is magic.

I heard that! I feel like the sub-bass flutter about halfway through Limit to Your Love will rattle my chest.
James Blake is slowly moving up last of bands to see. I'm liking John Butler Trio as well. And surprising, Die Antwoord. I didn't like them at first but as I listened to more I just wanted to move. I like music that makes me do that. I'm liking a Tribe Called Red too.

My wife is now obsessed with Die Antwoord, to the point where they're her number one act. Disclosure, cut copy, frank ocean, superjam - it doesn't matter what their competition is, Die Antwoord will be where she's at. I want to see them, but if they go up against the big acts I don't know where I'll end up.
The Head and The Heart. Love their indie nature and the guy/girl harmonies
I knew who they were before the lineup, but since then they have moved into a top 10 must-see for me. Hopefully in a tent around 3 or 4 o'clock. A show to just relax during out of the sun.
