Almost worshiped this movie in High School, but I was a huge Tarantino fan.
I still have the movies on BR and watch them every now and then... I definitely think the second part is better, but I've seen others around here who disagree. Stylistically, and in terms of pacing I suppose the first is better in ways, but I don;t know I've always just been so impressed with the whole of the second one.
I think it gets a bad rap, in the scope of Tarantino lore. Personally its one of my favorites. Its definitely my most watched. I think I like reservoir dogs and pulp fiction better, but I think kill bill is the most watchable of his films. Maybe that doesnt make sense, but I like that movie a lot. Especially the fight with the crazy 88's AMD the duel in the snow

Kill Bill is the rare sequel that surpasses the original IMO. And funny you should say that, because I actually thought the pacing was one of the biggest improvements of the second instalment. Either way, Pt. 2 is probably my favourite Tarantino flick since Pulp Fiction.

I loved volume one and hated volume 2. I hadn't watched vol 2 for years up until a few months ago. Upon re-viewing it I was like "Why did I hate this? This is great." Through all of the first 2 acts. Then we get to the end And I remembered why I hated it. It was just a terrible ending.
The daughter still being alive killed it. The movie is about a woman being on a revenge mission, the primary reason being her unborn baby was killed. Then she finds her unborn baby alive and happy with her father, and then still goes on to kill him. And, besides all that, the dialogue in the 3rd act is sooo cheesy. And, possibly worst of all- since she was going to kill him anyways, couldn't it have been more exciting? It was the most anti-climactic ending ever. Through the entire series I was really looking forward to seeing a serious badass showdown between bill and the bride. And what do we get? A long cheesy conversation, and a short lived battle while seated, quickly ended by a 5 point palm exploding heart tecniquie

The thing I love about Tarantino's movies is that I can watch them over and over which is rare for me. Most movies get one play for me. I would agree that KB2 is better than 1 although I really like them both.

Every time I watch one of his films I catch something I never noticed before.

Me too, that's why I enjoy his films. I've been wanting to watch Django again because I've only watched it once and it was great, might be his best.

I'll be the first to chime in with only negativity. Hated Kill Bill 1&2. Have not enjoyed a single Tarantino film actually.
Oh, and let me add that I think Uma Thurman ruined any chance of me enjoyin' these films. I just can't stand her.
Jeez, I can understand not liking some of his films, but all of them? Did you watch them with those shades on? Lol
I think I was a bit jaded. When I first saw Pulp Fiction it was after a few years of my friends in high school sayin' I had to see the best movie ever. It was just way over hyped to me, and in no way lived up to it. And it's just been the same. I kinda wanna give Inglorious Bastards and Django Unchained a chance, but I feel I'll still walk away not "gettin' it."
I have yet to see either, and I work at a movie theatre. My theatre at the time didn't have either playing. I do have them on DVD (Christmas gift this past year), so I am hoping to watch them soon.
