Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Every year we say "blah blah blah best lineup, blah blah blah festivals are getting more popular, blah blah blah" and while all of that continues to be true, Bonnaroo never sells out (except when they announce a sellout 2 days before the festival). I'll be surprised if it does.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
Yea, I've never waited until last minute but friends who have done so typically didn't have any major problems. Even if it "sells out" there will be other ways to buy a ticket.
Up until last year I would always be nervous about a sellout until i bought my tickets. We're a long time gone from the early years when tickets went early, though. If they couldn't get a pre-June sellout least year then it would take a truly once in a lifetime lineup or at least a shift in their model to do so in in this over saturated festival climate.

I'm happy the music fest scene is oversaturated, because that just means not enough tickets will be sold at Roo to call for making it two weekends....I personally love how it is only 4 days a year, it makes it more special.
Last two years I have been lucky enough to wait till the last second only to buy a ticket off of someone desperately trying to sell them on a third party site, like Vivid seats, for cheaper than they usually are on the first tier of ticket sales. So i have been lucky, but I am usually stressed until the day they're bought.

^ This. I used to be one of the ones on here who always argued it would sell out early, but I've since learned my lesson. There are so many festivals now competing for everyone's hard-earned money. Plus, 'roo isn't exactly located smack dab in the middle of Chicago, NYC or Miami.
The first year I went I bought a GA ticket off of CL locally for half price the day before I left for Roo. Met the girl at a mall, paid cash, she happy me happy.
