Bending bluegrass, rock and countless other influences that the band cites, Yonder has pioneered a sound of their own. With their traditional lineup of instruments, the band may look like a traditional bluegrass band at first glance but they’ve created their own music that transcends any genre (Courtesy of Lastfm). Sounds Like Genre: Bluegrass-jam band hybrid Similar Artists: Railroad Earth, String Cheese Incident, Leftover Salmon. Similar Bonnaroo Artists: Carolina Chocolate Drops, Greensky Bluegrass, John Butlet Trio.
Suggested Listening These guys are at their best live, so I would recommend checking out their Mountain Tracks series. There's five of them, all collections of live songs.
Here's one of the tracks off it.
Here's a good video.
And another.
And one more.
Physical Reaction/Live Show They aren't going to have a crazy, flamings lips'esque light show, but expect a simple stage setup with four dudes playing acoustic instruments and probably a fair number of people dancing.
Interesting Facts Not a single member of the band is martian.
Personal Notes I'm really excited for this show, i had to miss their Knoxville show due to scheduling, but now I have a second chance. Yonder is going to bring a fun, high energy show to Roo, do yourself a favor and drop by.

YMSB's Harvest Music Festival happens on Mullberry Mountain every year just an hour from where I live and I haven't got to make it yet...I'm hoping they don't conflict with anyone I want to see at Roo so I can see them!
