Vibe/Genre: Indie Dance Pop. Red Solo Cup House Party. For people who enjoy… Matt & Kim, Young the Giant, Two Door Cinema Club, Foster the People Members: Hannah Hooper (vocals, keys), Christian Zucconi (vocals, guitar), Sean Gadd (bass, vocals), Andrew Wessen (guitar, vocals), and Ryan Rabin (drums).
Bio: Formed at an artist retreat in Crete (GR) during the summer of 2009, Grouplove is a mish-mash of five young creatives who have managed to cobble together a repertoire that can all at once make a person feel in-the-moment and slapped with nostalgia.
If you want to party, listen to… Tongue Tied from Never Trust A Happy Song (2011) If you want to chill, listen to… Save The Party For Me from Spreading Rumours (2013) I highly suggest listening to… Colours from Grouplove (2011) Bonnaroo History: Played This Tent on Sunday afternoon in 2012 and also recorded a Hay Bale session for that year which can be seen below. Their set list consisted of songs from the 2011 release “Never Trust A Happy Song” and included a fun cover of Whitney Houston’s ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody’ (via Setlist.fm ).
I saw the 2012 Grouplove set at Bonnaroo, mostly because I enjoyed the song “Tongue Tied” heard it an Apple commercial and couldn’t get it out of my head. I became a Grouplove fan as soon as the dance party broke out during the first song or two and didn’t stop dancing until the show was over. It was a really fun show and I’m excited to see the band bring their brand of partying back to the farm this year.
I liked their first album, but didn't really dig their second one. The Coahella show did seem like a fun time though, I'll probably be there barring conflict
I'm so excited for this. Colours is one of my favorite songs. The documentary is really great too. I think this show with be a perfect balence of meaningful songs and letting loose and partying.

Finally watched the Grouplove documentary "I'm With You" last night and it is EXCELLENT. It reminded me of just how crazy good they are live, so they've moved up several spots on my priority list for Roo.

It was a good little doc. After their 2012 set they are a "can't miss" for me!
