Vibe/Genre: Indie pop-ish, sorta soul-awakening, good, good music! For people who enjoy… Young the Giant, Hanni El Khatib, Walk the Moon, Grouplove Members: Michael Fitzpatrick (singer/songwriter), Noelle Scaggs (vocals), Joe Karns (bass), James King (saxophone & flute), Jeremy Ruzumna (keys), John Wicks (drummer).
Bio: Fitz & The Tantrums was formed by Michael Fitzpatrick in Los Angeles in 2008. The band performed their first live show in December of 2008 but their debut album was not released until August of 2010. That album, ‘Pickin’ Up The Pieces’ reached number one on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart. Their new album ‘More Than Just A Dream’ is currently at number 67 (and rising) on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
If you want to party, listen to… L.O.V. (Pickin’ Up The Pieces, 2010) If you want to chill, listen to… Don’t Gotta Work It Out (Pickin’ Up The Pieces, 2010) I highly suggest listening to… The Walker (More Than Just A Dream, 2013)
Bonnaroo History: Fitz & The Tantrums played a 16-song set at Bonnaroo 2012. The performance included a cover of The Raconteurs’ “Steady As She Goes” and The Eurythmics’ “Sweet Dreams” closing out the set with one of my personal favorites, “MoneyGrabber”.
This is one of the sets that I image will be opposed by a mess of conflicts so I’m really going to have to plan my Bonnaroo 2014 schedule carefully in order to make it to most, if not all, of the show. I definitely recommend this one of you like to dance!
This band is 4th on my priority list. Hopefully their set will be really fun.
I've seen them four or five times, including most of the Bonnaroo 2012 set. They're always high energy, always engaging the crowd -- you should have a blast!

I don't know if I am going to make their set this year, I just picture a lot of conflicts. But their 2012 set was a top 5 show for me that year. Lots of fun and dancing. If you haven't seen them before I would check them out, they won't disappoint. The two singers really work well together and the sax player is great.
I work at a venue in NH where they're playing but their show is on the day I leave for 'Roo. I'm so bummed, because odds are I'll have to miss them due to some conflict. They're only #40 on my list.... it's a long list....

I hope I don't have any conflicts with Fitz. I've seen them 3 times, so I'd probably skip them if there are, but they are one of my favorite bands, so I'd be a sad baby. Their set in 2012 is one of my best bonnaroo memories. edit: if you saw a girl with a blue tank top and pink shorts dancing like a crazy person, it was me.

Hampton Beach? I'm from Maine so that's one of the places I used to see shows that weren't coming to Portland when I was a teen!
