Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Generally I'm not big into metal, hip hop, or a lot of electronic music for that matter. So after Superjam? and the Lips, not really anything I'm interested in.
Also Phyre Fest Bonnaroo is the festival for me. There's music all day that I'm interested in, except for later part of late nite.
Have you checked out Darkside? You might be able to get into them. Pitchfork has a wonderful live show from them.
I'll look for that pitchfork show later when I get back to my apartment, thanks.
Does anyone have a cashfinder link to the schedule?
Also I don't understand why Frank Ocean is playing on the This tent... he should be at a bigger place
Personally I think Frank Ocean is properly placed. If he had a brand new album coming out between now and Bonnaroo, probably not. But we're pretty far removed from Channel Orange, and he hasn't toured behind that album in quite a while. The Bonnaroo kiddo's aren't going to be racing to his set I don't think.

Not to mention who he is up against. the Flaming Lips pretty much need to be on the Which with their popularity and longevity, the Skrillex Superjam is going to draw a lot away, and Nick Cave is playing as well. I don't think Frank Ocean LN Tent would be overflowing at the seams against that lineup
I was actually super surprised at how helpful and nice people on the Bonnaroo message boards are. I expected way more snarky dickishness like on the Coachella forums.
You're actually in luck. A few of our most prominent snarky dicks have been laying low for the past few months.
and things have been GREAT around here because of it!

I think the big story here is there are FOUR Late Night Which acts! That's unbelievable! Two years ago we had a night where there wasn't even one LN Which. Anyone complaining about late night needs to sit on it. Those crowds are going to be more bearable than ever. Darkside/Zedd/Kaskade is obviously a tough choice for the EDM-heads but at least you'll have some extra breathing room.
I love this schedule, so much that I can't accept it as reality. It's too good for me...
... Except Thursday. There's just nothing I want to see Thursday night. Meet you guys in the silent disco.

Actually wait, the schedule sucks because of that terrible slot for Disclosure! There's no way we can make it from Kanye to Disclosure! Oh well I guess we all have to #BoycottDisclosure and not go to that set, ok everyone? Definitely not going to that set because it will be too packed! What's the point? Ice Cube will be fun, let's make all our friends go there instead #BoycottDisclosure

Do you think that AC might actually put some conflicts in there intentionally - not to spread apart crowds, but to make the whichever set you choose more valuable? This could explain why they put niche acts with a similar fan base against each other. For example, I've decided to see James Blake over Chromeo and Ms. Lauryn Hill. So now besides the price of the Bonnaroo ticket, this James Blake show is costing me more because I'm sacrificing two other shows I wanted to see. In short, I'm more greatly invested in it. This increases the show's value to me. It's kinda like how people assume a product is of higher quality because it's more expensive than a lower-priced product. Think there's any merit it to this? I'm sure crowd logistics might be part of it, but I wonder if there's something other than that going on here as well.

I'm fairly certain they just pull names out of a hat.
i expect a few subtle changes here and there, but yeah, this really does have the feel of a typical bonnaroo schedule.
Tho, theres doesn't seem to be a SBTRKT/Four Tet'ish type afternoon fuck ups. or maybe i'm just unaware of it.
Classixx at noon on saturday sucks. I was really hoping for a late night Thursday.
Later in the afternoon would be nice, but I feel like they don't have enough of a show to warrant a late night yet. I've seen them twice and both times were daytime ~1 hour spots. I think that's just where they are at this point.
It'll be fun though, and no real conflict at that time slot will hopefully get them a decent crowd.
But have you REALLY HEARD IT, with a blunt and a scotch like a real man??
Seriously people:
This show is going to challenge. EDM kiddies are going to find Jesus. Frat boys will rip off their letters and give up drinking. Babies will be made. The antichrist will crawl up from the stage and begin eating people in the audience. The truly prepared will deal with this, because that's what you do when you're living the life of good and proper things. The sound is deep, sinister, jazz-fused and wholly enjoyable.

If you haven’t heard “Paper Trails” before, carve out the next 10 minutes of your day to watch Darkside’s RA Session take. Hopefully it’s morning; you’re drinking coffee while last night’s whiskey presses into your forehead. Now watch the video. Nicolas Jaar and Dave Harrington stand backlit in a cold room, Harrington with his guitar and Jaar with an array of synthesizers. As Jaar works up the song’s textures, Harrington slowly noodles at a blues riff. As they play, Harrington serves as the ballast preventing Nico Jaar’s airy production from drifting to the stratosphere. Jaar’s vocals drip with angst. “Where are you when I need you, where should I go?” he sings. When Jaar’s laments end, the duo focus more intently on their instruments. At the 5-minute mark, the song begins to coil, the synth-bass winding itself tighter and tighter, before finally dropping its weight and drifting off in to the jet stream.

Sounds bland

Wait, who wrote this? Why are they hoping that I have a hangover?

Well this wasn't easy at all. I'm a little mad at the schedule, primarily the indie clusterfuck(NMH Vs Phoenix Vs Chrvches Vs Vampire Weekend), and disclosure vs the mystery Superjam is just wrong haha. Well here goes.
This is my schedule so far until final schedule is dropped.
My schedule thus far Thurs(Preatures>Robert Delong>Lunch>Real Estate>Cloud Nothings/Cherub>Banks>White Denim
Friday: Jon Batiste>Dr. Dog>Umphrey's McGee>Janelle Monae>Naked and Famous(Partial)>Chrvches(solid hour)>Phoenix>Kanye(Partial)>Disclosure>Skrillex>Chance the Rapper

Janelle Monae and White Denim or Pusha T I'll be up front for. Damon is a gametime decision if I want to skip Bobby Womack or not. Immediately following Janelle Monae I may scope out the Kanye pit scenario.
