A) The song is made to make fun of people like that... so if you think the song is stupid, mission accomplished as far as The Chainsmokers see it.

B) The Chainsmokers don't actually like Selfie... at all. I know this for a fact. Dim Mak saw potential in them and used this song to get them big. None of their songs before or after Selfie are even close to it, they've stuck to their uplifting progressive house style even after Selfie. So to hate on a group because of one song is just silly, and like i've said... straight up ignorant.

Here's a life tip: If a band you like makes a terrible song (a song you and the band, apparently, know to be terrible) you should generally say something along the lines of "yeah, that songs not great, but you should really give their other music a chance."

For instance, I like Eric Prydz quite a lot. When people say "Lol you mean the 'Call on Me' dude??" I generally calmly explain that that one hit isn't an accurate representation of his career/current sets.

All that being said, #selfie is a crime against humanity and The Chainsmokers deserve to rot in an open-air Turkish prison.
