I don't get some of these guesses, MM has also been 90's alt heavy headliners (aside from Journey last year). RHCP, Pearl Jam/Foo Fighters, Coldplay/Black Keys, etc.
Not saying my guesses were right or anything. Whatever we will find out Tuesday. Probably gonna skip it to see the Tide roll over those Gators.

I know but those are so hard to predict sometimes so I don't even bother.
Good thing I only watch NFL and 3-day fests are mostly in the offseason.
Lol at the idea the of Neutral Milk Hotel playing a festival like Music Midtown.
They were my prediction for SK, but they are playing a lot of festivals and diversity is MM's specialty.
They are also playing a show in California the weekend of Music Midtown. I love how you earlier posted that Arcade Fire would be out of place at Music Midtown yet you think NMH would fit right in.

Arcade Fire would be weird due to the size of the spot they would take. Neutral Milk Hotel would do well around sunset on either Roxy or Southeast.

Hopefully it's something like Vampire Weekend into Jack White on Friday and Lana Del Rey into Arcade Fire for Saturday. That's something realistic that'll get my interests

Anyway, if Petty is Friday, he's certainly not the big gun that "the word from the top of the chain" is referring to for saturday, so I think we're dealing with either the Stones or Bowie here...

I'm going to say no way on The Rolling Stones or David Bowie. Neither have played American fests in the past few years. Their first would be one of the top 4($$$$$$$$) Maybe Elton John ,he had/has a place in ATL & fresh off Bonnaroo. He said it's his first American music festival so they could have a thing like with UM where they can't announce Atlanta dates before. Maybe Prince ,he did just play Essence in NOLA & the people that love New Orleans like Atlanta it seems. Would rather see Jack White @cepac then @peidmontpark but I'd be surprised if he didn't headline MM. My predictions are Eminem, Jack White, Elton John, & Meatloaf as a wild card.

I assume it's not true. I don't think the guy that said that knows anything that we don't. He said something similar in the Hangout thread at the beginning of the year and was wrong on what he said. We'll know soon enough.
