This article mentions the Cure will hit the stage next in September after their May festival show at Napa's Bottlerock festival. Perhaps they could fit one of the headliner slots at Music Midtown. Thoughts?

This is 100% incorrect. Jack Johnson in coming in June, Lorde might be there but will NOT headline, Eminem won't come because he doesn't like to do big tours and OutKast will 100% be there so two rappers can't headline.

Actually I think they will be at Riotfest Denver during Music Midtown and yes it seems unlikely now. I am going with Jack White and Outkast for headliners.

What about Tom Petty as the Friday night headliner? Seems possible given his schedule around that time -

I found a good deal if anyone is looking for a hotel room. The Hilton Downtown is offering a $66 rate for that weekend or $84 (Braves package) that includes parking and breakfast. The rooms, at these rates, can be cancelled up until 24hrs in advance. It is also close to a subway station that will take you to the festival.

This is a great deal folks. Luckily, my bed is only 10 minutes away from the fest. Wish I had the room to invite visitors who can't afford the stay!
Music Midtown-- I hope you've been keeping up with what everyone is expecting: if you bring Outkast, EVERYONE will give you all their monies. No questions asked.
And Lorde is not a headliner. After last year, you have to go a step beyond Jane's Addiction & The Chili Peppers. Which Lorde is most definitely not.
