I think MM will sell a lot of tickets with this lineup. The real problem is with the vibe of the crowd that is going to buy them. I feel bad for Jack and Gregg.
I love Eminem but they should've cut their losses when they realized how much he costs. This line up is pure shit. The only way they can save this is if they bring in Death Cab or Interpol.
What's up with everyone pretending to care about Interpol again?

I've been waiting for them to come to ATL for a while. I couldn't in 2010.
The fact that they have headliners on at the same time might be the only thing that saves this fest for me. Hopefully it will be Eminem vs. John Mayer and Jack White vs. Zac Brown. I'd begrudgingly pick Eminem and I'd definitely go for Jack White. The undercard is just so weak though.

I think it's Eminem-Zac Brown and Jack White-John Mayer simply but that's based on the order on their website so it might be wrong.

Especially Gregg. He's so out of place on this lineup.

and that breaks my heart because I would endure most anything to see Gregg in Piedmont park one more time. Except the majority of this lineup and its patrons.
Mayer has a date saturday, so he will be friday. I think it will be Eminem-Mayer friday and ZBB-JW saurday. That's just me though. I don't see ZBB and Eminem going against each other, just because they are the top billed bands.

I'm honestly very on the fence here. Eminem would be sick and it'd be without the Mayer crowd. However, it depends on the additional acts during the day. It's not gonna be anyone huge I know, but hopefully they put a really good indie artist up there.
Word from the top of the chain is that they have booked their biggest act ever and it's not U2.
this guy
tranter, you saying 'this guy' to anyone is hilarious.
Is Eminem not the biggest act they have booked? And/or, is this not the biggest four bands they have booked at the top? I passed on a direct quote from a booking agent for MM. I asked U2? he said no. I asked Stones? he said no more guesses.
I just looked at Emimem's tour sched and he is doing multiple night runs in stadiums. There are only a handful of acts that can do that. I could care less about him, but that doesn't mean he's not 'big'.

He's big but he's by far not the biggest they've ever booked. Coldplay and RHCP are. No this is these might be the smallest four acts they've booked since coming back in 2011.

According to the Googles, this is the first time Eminem has played Atlanta since 2002, and the first time he's played the South since Voodoo in 2009 or Bonnaroo in 2011. He put out an album that spent a bunch of time at #1 last year with a #1 single. He basically only plays stadiums these days, is the #1 headliner at Lolla and ACL, and yet a regional fest like MM still snagged him. That's a big deal.
