Has anyone ever been the first person in the pit line. How does one start the line like is there a designated spot to start it, or are you like "yep this is where the line starts cuz I'm the only guy so far". I'm actually confused haha.
Pretty sure you just go to the pit line areas and ask the security guys if there is a line yet for the show that you want pit for. If not then just ask to start one. Me and my crew were like 20th in line for the Wu Tang pit last year. Right before Grizzly Bear came on, the broiest looking bro I have ever laid eyes on came up to ask the security guy if there was a line for pretty lights yet? They said no and then told him where to go over by the fence to start one. I was dumbfounded that this guy would skip all the other music from about 5pm to 2am just to be the absolute first guy into the pit for pretty lights, but whatever floats your boat I guess. Its like, hey you can actually hear the Paul McCartney concert from just over in the next field. Why not at least walk over there, and then come back and get in the pit line for PL during the XX? But whatever man, one less moron taking up space at Paul hahaha.
P.S. I challenge anybody who was in the Wu Tang pit last year to having a closer spot at Paul. My brother and I were 2nd row, dead center at Wu Tang, stayed the entire time, and were like the 10th guys out of the pit because everybody else thought they would do an encore. I knew better and was like "let's get the quack over to the What ASAP!!!" It was packed to all shiz but we got even with the sound board and were directly in front of the screen on the right side of the What Stage. Other people might have gotten closer, but I can't think that many from the Wu tang show got a better spot than us. Also, we did not push or trample anybody in this process, but simply moved as far forward as we could. Pretty magical 5 hours if you ask me.

Yeah, I'd stay back at VW and then skip out a little early if you think you want to get anywhere close to the Kanye pit this year. Or just say , "screw Kanye" like everyone else. Enjoy the pit for VW and then catch some air and get halfway back for Kanye. His show will transcend out to the field better than the VW show will.

^ Yeah I mean that second option was my no brainer for a while, since I love both groups. But I just haven't been as into VW lately (it's been like a year since Modern Vampires dropped) whereas for whatever reason I've been bumping a ton of Kanye every day. A lot of albums I haven't listened to much in years, but still remember really well. His discography holds up better than I ever would've thought.

Trying to guess what time people are gunna start lining up for the VW and AM pit is my biggest problem this year. And if thats my biggest problem that means this year is gunna be pretty good but still haha
