My favorite festival Catskill Chill just announced the lineup for this year. September 5-7. Very small, 5,000 people set on a summer camp in Minglewood, NY.
Pros:
Amazing lineup from top to bottom Very easy to get around Very friendly people, great vibes stages close without sound bleed
Not bad. Solid top of the line if you like jamming/improv music. Don't know most of the lower half bands but I'm out of touch.
You aren't out of touch, the bottom half bands are all nasty just waiting for that big break and semi local with Tauk, Fikus, ShwizZ, ShwiKus is FiKus and ShwizZ all together, The Main Squeeze (Randy Jackson produced their last album), Solaris, Mun, Functional Flow, Cocktail Party Phenomenon, The Hornitz, Consider the Source are at that level just waiting to burst IMHO
I have a wedding that weekend, but I have a bunch of friends that bought early bird. Not only is it the same weekend as Locken, but the fall Boston Calling, too.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Anyone have thoughts between this and vibes if I can only realistically do one?
I have been to the last 3 Chills and will be going to my first Vibes this year. Chill lineup has more up and comers then Vibes but I don't think you can go wrong either way. Feel free to ask me any related questions as I can at least give you half the info you need hahahahaha
