I've never set foot in the Silent Disco because its hard to stand still and wait in line at Bonnaroo. But I bet that Classixx DJ set will be a lot of fun.
You know that Classixx DJ set will be Sat night during FLips/Frank Ocean/Skrillex Superjam/Nick Cave.
Of course. It's very important to stack late night sets on top of each other to make a person choose between 8 or more potential options. Not to mention the surprise parades and shows.
I'm really hoping they book Classixx or Robert DeLong on Thurs night in the Silent Disco because I don't really have an interest in seeing Ty Segall or Pusha T. It'd be a great late night dance party to kick the weekend off.
Do they only have one DJ at a time at the silent disco at Roo?
During the bigger DJ sets, it's only one at a time. There are (or at least were when I volunteered in the Silent Disco in 2012) times when a couple of DJs play at the same time and those in the Silent Disco can choose which DJ they want to listen to. Makes it even funnier when people are dancing to different beats, none of which others can hear.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.
Jonathan Taubin is a cool dude - he does the soul clap/dance off in NY, and has toured it some too.
Was just listing to some of his stuff on Soundcloud, i bet i could enjoy that being pumped into my ears.
He played a fest here in Denton, and when I picked him up from the airport he started asking me all these questions about the music scene and venues and stuff from when he went to UT and would come up to DFW for parties and shows. I was really pleasantly surprised that he was cool to talk to and was a musical encyclopedia for my town since a lot of DJs are dick heads. He put on a cool show too, really funky.
