So can I dream about Big Gigantic filling in Zedd's vacated late night spot after the superjam now?
I want to see Big Gigantic play there own set at Roo so bad but, I am not prepared mentally to make a Darkside vs. Big Gigantic decision. The reason why I doubt it will happen is if you have ever seen Big G live, Dom is sweating his dick off by the end of the show and if they were to do a 2 hour Superjam then went into a full hour and a half set the dude would lose 30 lbs of water weight by the end of the set.

I have mixed feelings about the changes. It frees up my Cage the Elephant and Bouncing Souls conflict but in now puts Slightly Stoopid up against the JOhn Butler Trio and would give me a chance to take a break and get a good spot for Jack White. Ultimately I was hoping for a Cut Copy, The Flaming Lips, and Skrillex Superjam three way trade but that would have made to much sense.

I have a gap earlier in the day now for like an hour and change. I think I will try to see how many popsicles I can eat before the carbs overwhelm me and I pass out. Fun times.

This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
This didn't change my schedule much.. is it me or did they bump up Darkside to much later? I thought they were going on at 1am and playing til 2:30.. I was thinking there was a much later time difference between them and Kaskade. Now if I go see Darkside - I'll only catch a small part of Kaskade.. provided he doesn't play til sunrise - which I'm hoping that he does!
I don't believe the Darkside set moved. It was always half hour after Skrilly's SJ.
If anything Darkside should be the set that goes until sunrise. I want to party at Kaskade and still have time to contemplate the reason for my existence during Darkside.

Hmm yea, I think you're right but for some reason I could've sworn that the Kaskade's set went more than just 15mins past Darkside's.. Ugh Saturday late night is a terrible conflict. I wonder why they moved Zedd up? i wish they would've moved Glitch Mob instead.. Cause I want to see Glitch, Darkside, & Kaskade.. decisions decisions

I dunno if they have the material for that.. unless Nicholas Jaar starts taking over and doing his songs. They have 1 full album and a bad ass EP with 3 songs. Most of their set lists have been relatively short. Kaskade is definitely going to be the sunrise set this year.. My guess is that's why they moved Zedd up several hours..

I think they moved Zedd because they realized how stupid it was to put such a popular act in the Other tent, and how stupid it was to have such an (unjustifiably, relatively) unpopular act (cut/copy) closing the Which Saturday night. Zedd makes perfect sense as a Which closer. But they should have made it a clean switch and put cut/copy after the Skrillex SJ in the Other.
I really don't see Kaskade going until sunrise. Sure he has the material, but so did Skrillex in 2012 and he ended before his scheduled time. Pretty Lights went until sunrise last year but he has equal footing in the EDM and jam worlds.

I would also venture that it had to do with the amount of complaints they got about have two of their biggest EDM acts for the year going at pretty much the exact same time. Bonnaroo makes a few head scratching decisions re: scheduling every year, but they also usually fix at least one of them.
slow clap for bonnaroo managing to make a mess out of the one perfectly scheduled day they had this year. congratulations gents, you did it.
wankers.
It wasn't perfect before, but it is noticeably worse now. Seasick Steve vs. Classixx, Bobby Womack vs. Damon Albarn, the list goes on. I'm going to try and get a good spot at James Blake after Chromeo but I'll probably end up outside the tent.
My biggest hope is that someone I care about greater than or equal to Darkside takes the former Zedd spot. Also, the crowd at the Skrillex Superjam might be just a tiny bit less neon with Zedd playing a different stage. Some people who saw Skrillex the night before will probably camp out for Kaskade or Glitch Mob now. At least that's my best case scenario from these changes.
Yeah these moronic changes have taken three full sets away from my schedule. Why even release a schedule last week if they were going to change everything on that day outside of the What Stage?

Now Saturday night before Jack White is a cluster fuck times 2. Before, it was noticeably tight but now I'm thinking I have to miss Cut/Copy completely since I'd like to see the end of Lionel Richie. It makes me that more thankful I bought the tickets to see Cut/Copy in Atlanta the day before Roo starts.
Also, It's really just starting to sink in how great Friday is. Jake Bugg>Janelle Monae>Vampire Weekend>Phoenix>Kanye>Superjam>Skrillex

I wont be going to Vampire Weekend, Flaming Lips, Jack White, Damon, Frank Ocean or The Avetts.
The back end of Kanye will also be put off for Disclosure as well as the last half of Lionel. That Cut/Copy whole show vs. Zedd whole show is now a gametime decision during Cut/Copy's set factoring in both show and spot.

Damn, too bad. Was going to see Bobby Womack but now I guess I'll be missing him for Damon Albarn. Other then that I love the Cut Copy change. Tents are better shows IMO anyway.
