We are happy to announce a new stage on The Farm this year called Kalliope Stage! Be sure to swing by during the day to watch World Cup games and NHL Finals, but once the sun sets, be ready to rage into the wee hours of the night! With 70,000 watts of bass-ful bliss and an unforgettable light show filled with cryogenics, lasers and serial beams, this stage is yours for the taking.
Accompanying Kalliope on her quest to impress will be “Big Red”, an art-deco VW Bug with a cozy bed in the back, cruising around site through all hours of the day and night, adding a unique mobile component to the Bonnaroo experience. Big Red will certainly be the biggest Bug buzzing around The Farm!
Does that mean it will travel around the campgrounds or will it be inside Centeroo moving around? Either way this is exciting news just for the fact that they added another stage.

They could have just a basic screen that a projector projects on. At Nateva (the festival in Maine that lasted only one year) they had an inflatable movie screen that they projected films on. It only appeared at night.

Saw this at Burning Man last year...it was pretty awesome! It was mobile at Burning Man, but pretty much it traveled during the day and stayed stationary until the next day. They had all types of DJs play on this stage at Burning Man, I'd assume it'll be the same way at Roo. I have a feeling it'll be stationary and will probably be located down near the Comedy Tent in that corner because there is really no issue with sound bleed down there bc the Comedy tent ends early.
Here's hoping for a James Blake DJ set on this thing
As others have pointed out, we aren't sure if there will be other artists performing sets here or if it's just going to be the people who run it as well as playing world cup games and things like that. Roo doesn't say that other artists will definitely be playing sets there so we'll have to wait and see.
