Hello Bonnaroovians,
I will be proposing to my girlfriend of several years at Bonnaroo. I plan on having a group of people wearing t-shirts that spell "WILL YOU MARRY ME" and surrounded by a crowd of my fellow b roo people. It will go down at 11 on Friday morning so no one has to miss a show or get pulled out if bed too early(unless the heat does that). I'm looking or folks to give me an email or post on this thread if they'd be willing to participate. The more the merrier and it would make a memory to remember. You can also email me at brooflashmobb@gmail.com. Thank you everyone!
You should do it Thursday at 11:45 am and tell her you want to take a pic in front of the arch since this group is already taking a huge group photo you'll have a built in flash mob.
Flash mobs are lame. Why not just pick a random but particularly romantic/intimate moment? Keep the ring in your pocket and when the right moment presents itself, you'll know.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Yeah definitely don't listen to all of these people trying to convince you to propose at brunch. Being only 4 posts in, I'd imagine you have no prior knowledge to what brunch is anyways. So whatever you end up doing, don't take that advice ever because it's a terrible idea.

Really man? This is a thread dedicated to a guy wanting to propose to his girlfriend at Bonnaroo. Ya know, something positive. Can you please take your typical miserable negativity somewhere else?

Miserable, negativity?! But you're the snob here, remember?
I think the institution of marriage is a beautiful/wonderful thing. Wanna propose at Bonnaroo? Please do. However, there will be plenty of other (more meaningful) opportunities for him to do so. Sorry for being a realist here but a brunch proposal would just about be the least romantic setting possible and I felt he deserved that opinion as well. That was the only admission I made on the subject. After all, "this is a thread dedicated to a guy wanting to propose to his girlfriend at Bonnaroo", not, a thread dedicated to a guy wanting to propose to his girlfriend at brunch.

Eh, this guy is trying to set up a flash mob at Bonnaroo. I think the idea of having a bunch of drunk strangers involved is something he's already thought through.
Is there a particular act you and your girlfriend are really excited for? You could always try doing so at/ right after that act. I heard someone proposed at Edward Sharpe last year.
There is no where on this earth I feel more love than on the farm, so a proposal at Roo just seems fitting. And as far as deciding how to do it, that's all on you. Who cares if anyone on here thinks its dumb? As long as in ten years when anyone asks her how you proposed, its a story she can tell over and over and not get tired of. You (usually) only get one of these, make it count.
