So I am buying a ticket off of craigslist from someone- They sent me a picture of the wristband's security code and I went ahead and registered it in my name successfully, she wants me to send the money via paypal tomorrow before she ships the wristband. Is there any way I could get scammed here? She said she would take a picture of the tracking number and label and send it to me after I send the money. Thanks in advance, money is tight so I'm just trying to make sure there's no way this could go wrong considering I already registered it in my name

Yes all I'm asking though is if there is any way I can get scammed considering that I already registered the band. This was just a good price, and I'm leaving for Peru 2 days after roo so the cheaper the ticket the better.

I mean, yeah there are lots of ways. She could not send the wristband is the first one that comes to mind. With Stubhub, you'll at least get your money refunded if it's a dud. Maybe Paypal will too, but I am not super familiar as I have never had to ask for a refund through Paypal.

Yeah I thought about those. I just feel bad because I already registered it- I don't want to leave her stuck with a wristband registered in my name ya know? i'd feel bad, but also I can't afford to get ripped off. The price wasnt actually that great, 270. Now I'm seeing better deals locally with less risk...

$280 on Stubhub right now, including fees. It's the safer option.

Thanks for your help man, I appreciate it! I'm just going to politely tell her I can't in good mind buy her ticket and apologize for registering. I suppose it's all I can do.
