I've done weeks and weeks of research on here and I'm still wondering about my campsite. My group (4 people, 2 cars) is camping together. We are staying at the Holiday Inn on Campground rd. Weds night, and then heading up to the farm early Thursday. If we manage to stick behind each other the whole time, this means we would get a larger campsite correct? Seeing as each car gets a destined spot.
Anyway my question is how big do you think this spot will be, and should it be enough for 3 small tents and 2 canopies?

When you get in line make sure both cars are together. When you get passed the tollbooths pull off to the side and just let the volunteers guiding traffic know you have another car in your party, point out that car and they'll put you together.
Basically yes you'll have 2 campsites combined as 1. You'll have plenty if space.

Two canopies and three tents seems like a bit of a stretch for two cars worth of space - you may be just fine, but just be prepared. Honestly I would probably skip the second canopy - that seems like overkill for four people.
It's also somewhat possible that the volunteers managing the parking in your area will park cars in a way that kind of ruins your plans. It seems like they've been better about this in recent years, but it's not impossible that your two cars would end up one behind the other or similar, leaving your campsites nearby but not actually adjoining.

Definitely stick together and if someone tries to split you up by directing one car one way and one car another way just lean your head out and indicate that you guys are together. That should help. Then when you're getting ready to park they'll direct you and most likely park you next to each other. The trick here is when they're parking you they'll try to make it so you're close but if you go just a little bit wider than they say and play dumb you'll expand the space of your site. Don't go too wide or they'll make you re-park it but if you work it the right way you can definitely have a bigger spot than usual.

LOL, if that is overkill, then I'd hate for you to see our setup. There are only two of us, and we take two canopies every year. I think the OP will have more than enough room as long as they end up next to each other, but I haven't seen that being a problem in recent years.
Also, PP, hello! I haven't seen you on here in a while, but maybe I just look at different threads.

Thanks, this helped a lot and I will definitely do that.

Why stay at a hotel Wednesday? why not just go in Wednesday night and get your camp set up so 1: you don't have to wait in Thursdays huge line and 2: you don't miss any bands on Thursday.

Yeah, but my the hotel room was free & the one we are staying at is seriously 3 minutes away from the farm.
As advice from somebody that has worked parking, and subsequently done this: Once you get in line (not before, attention grabber) get out of the car and write "1 of 2 and 2 of 2" on your two cars. Helps people run parking identify instead of "that blue gmc back there" who's with who. Making their lives easier is the key to getting what you want.
Too answer your "too much" question. No. I don't think so, I would even try to set the ez up's as far apart as possible, and putting a tarp between. I like being comfy..

Does anyone know if we we allowed to have campfires?
It would be cool if we could, but 100,000 people close together in fields (that are sometimes tinder dry), surrounded by cars, could be a bad recipe and get out of hand in a hurry. It would be nice, but honestly you won't need it.

What's with folks wanting a campfire at Bonnaroo? I get the appeal and all.. but it's hot enough as it is, when it cools down at night - the last thing I wanna be around is a hot ass campfire

I don't know about this particular person, but many questions that seem really odd to many are people that haven't been before. Even if it was a little cooler at camp, the sheer proximity of the next campsite would make me think twice about a campfire, but many don't really just how close you are until you get there. The same goes for the heat. I am from Tennessee, but I am still caught off guard by just how hot it is at Bonnaroo every year.

Oh snap, threw me off Petyr Baelish?! and I agree, I'm from Lousiana and it gets hot and humid here - and Bonnaroo heat is on a whole other level. Hopefully we'll get some overcast this year and cool things down a bit.. no dust storms or thunderstorms tho.

Haha. For sure. I remember two years ago that I was so happy with the weather being super mild (for Bonnaroo), but I continually heard people complaining about the heat. They didn't even realize how lucky they were.

Last year the weather was actually pretty decent.. if I remember correctly, one of the days it was windy and felt like mid 70s. Sunday was hot, then it rained a bit during T Pett. Dave Maynar
If you want to cook at your campsite, you can bring a portable charcoal grill. I am. Factor in the wind direction for obvious reasons. Be safe. See you on the farm!!! We're almost there!

You can also bring the small propane camp stoves. They will take care of most anything. For those that like coffee, you may want to consider since I have repeatedly heard the coffee sucks (or is really uneven) at most vendors.

Ah nothing like that smell of fresh brewed ammonia in the mornings.

Yep, two of us, two Ez ups two coolers, a two room tent, yeahhhhh if two canopies are over kill for four people I'm afraid to know what people think of our set up lol

My suggestion for coffee, is if you can drink iced coffee instead of hot (which in the summer is my go to always) you can prebrew a strong few pots, pour it into a clean one gallon milk jug, and bring some liquid sugar (you can make your own simple syrup) and some liquid creamer and a few cups and you are good to go on the coffee fix......or cheat and buy some Java Monsters lol
