This is for those of us that aren't making it out to the farm this year. Why can't you go to this one? Who are you most sad to miss? What will you do instead? I don't want to get all depressing or anything, just thought maybe we could chit-chat about it.
My reason: Last year my best buddy hurt his back really severely and couldn't make the trip, leaving me to roo it alone. I did meet up with people I knew, and had a great time (DUH!!!) but it was a totally different experience than what I'd had before and the drive alone really freaked me out. So this year, when a friend suggested I go to Shaky Knees with him instead I thought maybe I would try something new. I couldn't afford both trips, but went with Shaky Knees in the spirit of adventure!!! Big mistake... The line-up was amaze-balls, but the venue and the atmosphere were severely lacking. So now... here I am... watching all my friends get ready for roo, and I can't make it out.
I really wish I could, and I know there are a ton of you that want to be there too and can't. Let's whine together.
Who I'm gonna hate to miss most: Elton John, of course. He'll be in my town not long after the festival, but one ticket cost a fortune. And Jack White... there are no words to describe how much I would love to be in front of that stage. Someone blow him a big sloppy kiss from me.
