Hi all! Bonnaroo and Inforoo noob here, so this may not be in the right place (sorry!). On Thursday I'm planning on seeing The Preatures and Allah La's in That Tent, but after Allah La's is ZZ Ward who is not at all my cup of tea. After her is Real Estate, one of my top 3 favorite bands ever for whom I definitely want to be at the front for (first 3 rows). My question is this: Do I stay at the That Tent and endure ZZ Ward's set so that I can be at the very front for Real Estate (I expect to be at the rail if I'm there from Preatures --> Real Estate) OR do I leave That Tent after Allah La's, go see Caveman, then come back for Real Estate 15 minutes before the show. How far up the crowd would I get if I got there 15 minutes before they take the stage without being overly rude? Is it worth it to endure ZZ Ward to be at the rail for the band that I'm most looking forward to out of the whole lineup? Hopefully this question makes sense! Thank you!
Go ahead and go to caveman, but aim on getting back to that tent before zz ward finishes. That way you'll be there to rush in while people are leaving zz ward. You should be able to flow right on where you need to get
It's hard to say exactly where you'll end up if you show up 15 minutes before the show...it just depends on the overall size of the crowd. You definitely won't be in the first 3 rows though. If being up close for Real Estate is that important then you'll need to stay through the ZZ Ward set.

It depends on how badly you want to see Caveman. If Real Estate was in my top 3 and I wanted to be near or on the rail, I would stay for ZZ Ward. However, as others have said, you would be able to get a decent spot if you show up as ZZ Ward is ending and swim up the current of people leaving.

i say stay, make your Real Estate set even more special by earning that spot by staying tough through ZZ ward, and you may even end up not hating it. Instead of being near the back for two different shows.

I just want to say, it doesn't matter if you're on the rail, I mean as long as you can hear 'em who really cares?? and enduring an act you don't care for while you could be at another show? but why? but it's your choice. I'd max out on acts seen and not distance from stage, but that's just me...
Thursday is kind of a different story than the rest of the weekend as no one is playing on the main stage. This means everyone will be in Centeroo and at the smaller stages. Meaning it will be packed! I typically wander around to as many stages as possible on Thursday checking out newer smaller name acts that I am not accustomed to. In saying that if Real Estate is one of your top 3 favorite bands ever, I would say endure ZZ Ward. Either way though I do not think you can go wrong.

Thanks for the replies guys! The good vibes are just making me even more excited! In response to earlymorningrebel, I feel like a really big part of a concert in general is the visual aspect, and having a completely unobstructed view of one of my favourite bands? I can't imagine anything much better than that. I do agree with maxing out the number of acts seen though. Like others have said, either way its gonna be a blast. I have a feeling its gonna be a really special experience. Only 2 weeks to go!

Real Estate is pretty popular. Getting there fifteen minutes before the show wouldn't be a good idea. Everyone else pretty much said it, get there when ZZ Ward has a few songs left and you should have a good spot

ZZ Ward will be packed (pretty popular right now, Heck I was surprised she is playing Thur.) and I doubt if THAT many people will just filter off so I would stay there like others have said.
