Been to Roo almost every year. First year attending I lived in Mississippi and scored a beautiful camp spot that was almost tent only. Every year after that I have entered from SE bound 24 (coming from North of Manchester) and have never again been parked in the meat of the camping spots... like east of GA RV + South of BB road. I have been in Jaffe Joller and another time all the way against the I24 tree line.
So here is my thinking: looking at the map it makes logistical sense that the East Tollbooth gets probably the most crappy spots, while the West tollbooth gets a lot of perimeter and top of the map type spots while that highway tollbooth (SW) fills up much of that center. This may not be the case for the throngs arriving after Pod 1 is full, but the thursday morning/noon rush it would make no sense to have people from the SW booth go anywhere else but the nice center spots.
So I guess my question is, has anyone had any experience with coming through that gate in the last few years? I was thinking about trying to drive south of the farm on 24 to turn around and join the line there.

thoughts?
I'm coming from Louisiana which is obviously South from Manchester. Every year I've been to Bonnaroo I came in thru the Highway Entrance and got a pretty solid camping spot like in Ferris Bueller/Marty McFly area. Last year we came in off of Highway 24 but the cops redirected us back onto the interstate for whatever reason, and we came in thru the East Gate (this was my first experience coming in thru that gate).. we got a decent spot.. wasn't much of a walk I believe last year they put us in Camp Billy Ray Valentine or something like that. It was near that church looking building off of Bushy Branch. Needless to say, we left Wednesday morning and got in line at like 1am. All the other years when I came in thru the Highway Entrance we left Wednesday night at like 10 and arrived at Bonnaroo Thurs morning at like 5am and got better spots. It's almost a gamble.. but from what I can tell don't arrive too too early or you will get stuck in BFE. I believe they park folks from the back and fill up the camping spots moving inward towards Centeroo. Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.. no matter how many times I attend Bonnaroo - I can never get a handle on their motives when it comes to gaining a good camping spot.. Almost feels like you're damned if you do - damned if you don't type-situation.

thanks for the input.
Last year i got Spicoli (right above Bushy Branch road), decent spot. Year before that I had guest bands and it is a long story but got parked on the heli pad at first and then just drove around BFE until I found an open space. Year before I had a friend take us through stupid backroads after waiting for about 3 hours at the Holiday Inn to get her guest pass and entered through the East tollbooth and got parked in Joffe Joller.
But I would be pissed if I tried to button hook it to get to the highway tollbooth and they redirected me to the East gate. Guess if I saw that happening I would ditch out and just go in the West.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.
