Wow, it's not even the end of October, and Rock Werchter has announced 5 names from their lineup:
The Cure / Muse / Mumford & Sons / P!nk / Florence + the Machine
Yup, on Friday the last headliner should be announced for the Thursday which is probably going to be the highly rumored Kendrick Lamar. From then on out, I'm a bit clueless on what or better who they're going to announce. (But I'll probably get to know that sooner or later lol) I think, so far, they're doing a quite okay job (in comparison to last year, this is ofcourse wayyy less but it's okay for RW standards I guess) with the exception of P!nk. I've no fucking clue why they booked her tbh and I've got zero excitement for her show whatsoever wth.
Slipknot and Whithin Temptation are the first two headliners for Graspop Metal Meeting, lol. After a year of Guns N Roses, Iron Maiden, Volbeat and Ozzy I'm expecting a thin year (unless they get Rammstein or Tool).
1/16: L'Impératrice 1/30: Jamie xx 2/1: DJ Seinfeld 2/7: Mild Minds* 3/1: Father John Misty* 3/4: knock2 3/7: Inhaler* 3/19: Confidence Man 3/23: DARKSIDE 5/8: Rüfüs Du Sol
Friday should be the last headliner announced (for Thursday, I'm assuming. Kendrick?) unless they got something big planned to play alongside Muse on Sunday so we got one more headliner after that but idk if that's going to happen. Muse is very popular over here so, who knows). There's been a little rumour brewing around Fleetwood Mac but idk if that's realistic anymore..
Anyone actually keen to make the travel over here?

More specifically, the festival will be required to “request that performers do not sing or play any vulgar, obscene or banned songs or carry out indecent acts or make any vulgar gestures, actions or remarks during the performance.” Performers will also be asked “not to offend the general public” and to eschew any “attire which expose the groin, private parts, buttock or female breast(s).”
Mind you, this year’s festivities featured a lineup of prototypical hip-hop acts, specifically J. Cole, Post Malone, Migos, Lil Uzi Vert, Stormzy, Rick Ross, Rae Sremmurd, Playboi Carti, Lil Pump, et al, who all would flat-out fail to meet those conditions. In fact, the festival would be hard-pressed to build any future hip-hop lineups that would meet these jerkstore requirements.
And if that weren’t enough, the festival will also have to deal with new sound level conditions and limited set times. In other words, Live Nation, which produces the festival, would be better off moving the festivities to any other goddamn park across England. Take it from me, these rules will not only be broken, but ruthlessly parodied (and rightfully so), but the wrath of the moralists will be one incredible headache.
RIP this festival

They have to really knock it out of the park because between the awful logistics, shit communication and terrible weather this year, I'm definitely picking Primavera instead. Even with VIP, it was still a shitshow.

Only issue I had was bar lineup on Thursday. Other than that everything was a breeze I thought. Sucks you had a shit experience. Did you dig the sets at least?

I'm still salty about Massive Attack but that'll be fixed next year
Yeah, the sets were amazing. I don't think I'll ever get the chance to see the combo of QOTSA -> Depeche Mode -> NIN -> Friendly Fires -> Richie Hawitin -> Underworld -> Black Madonna again.

Very true. Hell of a run on Friday as well! Eels > FIDLAR > Leon > Fleet Foxes > Tame > Pearl Jam > Kasabian > Japandroids. My legs nearly fell off
