TW Classic Festival in Werchter announced Macca as a headliner today. Took a look at past lineups and it looks like it’s a one day, average of like 6 bands event...
Anyone been or know anything about it? It may be our Macca-at-Glasto-Alternative if we (when we) don’t get Glasto tickets in the April resale.

Shoulda PM'd me! Yep, sunday 6/21 apparently and the day after Taylor Swift (6/20) passes by here on the same field. As you said, it's a one day event where the rest of the acts are support for the big act of the day, here Paul McCartney. Normally LN puts on like 3 local bands and then like 2 small international names to fill the day. Visitors are mostly the type of people I saw popping up a few times in the ACL thread; who bring chairs and blankets and are just coming to have a good time with the rest of their boomer friends (depending on the act, though most of the time the average age is probably like 30+ easily). GA tickets are €96 and golden circle is €150, I think though you might aswell just wait for tickets to drop on Ticketswap cause Macca is never selling 60k tickets on his own..

I went a decade ago when Depeche Mode played. Enjoyed myself, but the crowd is known to be notoriously shitty AF and not care for the music.
If the goal is to see McCartney, you are better off flying to The Netherlands where's he's playing this summer as well.

It's changed a couple of times, but yeah just a single day event with bands that are considered "older" or fit that crowd.

The goal is always to see Paul. But the June 21st date is more conveniently timed to allow us to a) still try for Glasto resale & b) accommodate the itinerary we already have in mind.
We’re doing Amsterdam, but it’ll be later in the trip in mid June, so booking his Netherlands show in late May would create a lot of meandering through Europe, which is inefficient when we only have 5 weeks.

Yea, I was trying to figure out this golden circle thing. Is it an add-on to GA tickets?
We’ll prob do this. And we’ll prob do the golden circle bc it’s so cheap. Idk if we’ll wait or do presale tho Bc it’s a big trip and not something I want to risk! Does it usually sell out?
Also, can we just appreciate how cheap European fests are for a second. This one day fest featuring Macca is only ~$133 AUD (€96). A one day fest here with a top 3 of Brockhampton, Kaytranada & Lizzo is $140AUD. Cheapest seats for Paul alone when he was here in 2017, for the first time in 24 years, was like $120 AUD! Outrageous. Y’all are spoiled. Lol.

Golden circle tickets at TW Classic are regular GA + front pit access. It's pricey, but I would go for that if you do choose to attend and purchase it asap.

Never understood why people would pay for that. You're stuck in there with too many people and can't get any drinks that easily without having to push everyone aside and trying to get back in. The grounds are big enough where I would not pay to be that close. Sound is also much better from a distance at Werchter.
Never attended a TW classic before but I've been to 4 or 5 Rock Werchters. My brother always attends TW and never paid extra to be closer.
