My last week of grad school is this week and moving from Chicago back to Ohio when we get back from The Farm. I'm feeling all the feels too. Can't focus on anything school- and move-related, just anticipating the moment we cruise into our camping spot, turn the car off, and know that all we can do is Roo for 5 days!
It's our 1st Roo as well... Although we are excited, we are also scrambling to get our shit together. Let's hope we get it done & don't forget anything!

Hilarious because the "Pull past the toolbooths onto the green delicious grass" is the exact moment I keep visualizing too. The park the car get out and do a hand stand knowing all is well int he world. Oh Yeezus one week.
Eeek I have so soooo many roo projects to wrap up! Good news is I'm a server and have been in such a good mood lately knowin we're close that it's been nothing but cash cash cash!

It's my fifth year and I have been giddy for months! Still have to shop and pack, but I've got it down now. I Have my supplies checklist, wristband and transportation, time off work... The problem now it's that I have more bonnaroo clothing than I can pack... Decisions decisions. Does anyone else feel the need to take 11 pair of shoes?

I haven't either - BUT I'm bringing a robe just in case. My costume doubles as my robe for Saturday night. If I don't go, it'll be my luck it'll be some insane DJ that played and I missed out. Bring one in case you decide to go, fold it up and keep it in a backpack or camelbak.

You're a Batista? How do you get that gig?
(Sorry, I'm getting a leeetle punchy at the end of the day)

Maybe my costume should be a barista Batista on Friday!

My first time. I'll be the old guy wandering around dazed and confused as I bask in the deluge of good vibes and crazy people. Then there's the music, can't forget the music.

Yupp. Today was the day. Woke up and wanted to smash everything work related because im not on the way to Bonnaroo. Looks like the rain will be pretty much be gone by the time we get to Tenn(as of now) which is fantastic. Waiting for Monday night is going to be such a struggle. I listened to Psychic last night and could hardly contain myself.
So i'm a Bonnanoob and this will be my first trip to the farm, but I am already getting goosebumps and butterflies about roo this year and I wanted to see who else is getting as excited as I am!
Last year was my first year and one of the coolest moments was when we started to get close to the farm. You are already so excited and then you realize a lot of the cars have water bottles stacked on them and alt of the drivers are wearing wristbands and bandanas. Everyone was waving and beeping at each other. It was awesome. The Bonnaroo vibes start before you even make the entrance!
10/19/14-Phantogram
11/29/14-New Politics, Bad Suns
4/17/15-Hippo Campus, Night Riots, The Mowglis
5/1/15-Penn State Movin' On Music Festival-New Politics, Passion Pit, Big Gigantic, Big Sean
6/11/15-6/14/15-Bonnaroo!
6/21/15 - Paul McCartney
6/27/15-Halsey, Imagine Dragons
It's our 1st Roo as well... Although we are excited, we are also scrambling to get our shit together. Let's hope we get it done & don't forget anything!
Just make sure you have the essentials (wristbands, cash, EZ Up) and whatever else can be improvised or shared with a neighbor. To be super prepared check out Bonnaroo Chris and Bonnarootips.com, they'll help you out a ton!
10th 'roo for me, if anything the anticipation gets keener. Already been having dreams about being on the farm for a while now. Luckily (?) work has been so crazy busy I haven't had the time to daydream about it.
One of my favorite things is the ever-increasing amount of Roo-goers that you see on the way there. You might see a car or two full of camping gear several states away and wonder "Hmm, I wonder if they're going to Roo too". Then you get a little closer and you start to see the wristbands on drivers, and then you hit Tennessee and every other car seems to be filled to the brim with bags and gear and positive vibes. That's when I start to feel the magic. The Farm is a place that makes me start to ponder the existence of magic, and a nonhyperbolic, more-serious-than-I'd-like-to-admit kind of way. The Feeling...it becomes palpable. From all over the globe this farm in the middle of nowhere attracts people like a supermagnet, and for many, there is a feeling of being drawn, compelled - willed, even - to the Farm. Then the next few days pass in an apex of excitement; a days-long orgasm of music and adventure in the midst of a vibrant and ecstatic In Here that gently releases into to the exhausted denouement of The Ride Home. For me, it's absolutely surreal. I started getting the tinglies a week or two ago, upon the realization that there's really no more planning to do...most of my stuff is bought and perhaps packed, I've got my schedule set and ride figured out; all that remains is the weeklong acid come up as the peak slowly approaches, holding an infinity of unique experiences inside - God, I love this feeling. I can't wait to see you all.
