Wow.. I really like this too, if I had planned better (aka started planning and saving a while ago) I probably could have swung this. I used to live in Paris and still have friends there... but the plane ticket along would be rough at this point.
I'd really like an excuse to get back there one of these days!
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Back in the states, this was one of the best ran festivals I have been to. Everything went to smoothly from security to the bands playing. The set up was two stages on the opposite sides of a large hall. As soon as one band would end, the next band would start playing. There was never more than just a few minutes between the music.
As far as the bands, I got to see some really good shows. Caribou, Mogwai, The War on Drugs, and Jamie xx (everyone going to Big Ears should be excited for this) were all excellent. I did not go to either the opening party (went to Opera) or the after parties. The subways in Paris do not run 24 hours and that was my transportation back to my hotel. Its not a festival that I would go all the way to France. I just happened to be spending those exact days in Paris coming back from Egypt, but if I was in the region would go every year.

Jeez Louise. Have you all seen this year's lineup? It's grande or whatever. Also, can someone change the title to this one? I didn't want to be probed for creating a new thread for this year for a fest in France.
