Our whole family is going for our first visit to the farm. I have all the necessities for the young ones to have a great time, but I was wondering about proof of age for my 6 year old. She's going to be 7 a week after Bonnaroo. Am I going to get hassled while arriving if I do not have one? If I need one, I will probably have to get one sent ASAP in order to be here in time, but I would rather not have to worry about the whole proof thing. Have any of you brought a young child around that age and been hassled about their age?

Any experience on this matter is appreciated!
We have never been asked for proof of age for our kids, but they have passports and we have always brought them just in case. One year a gate person asked my littlest how old he was but I don't know if that was making conversation or checking whether they should have a ticket. I honestly can't say if we've been lucky or if they flat don't ask for proof for any kids who are clearly under 8 or so.

What is the oldest you have brought your kids without a ticket? Do they look their age?
I guess they look their age. Since we've been going, the Bonnaroo policy has been tickets needed for 6 and older. So twice I didn't buy a ticket for my littlest. Keep in mind this was back when wristbands were put on by staff when you got there. Since they've moved to shipping wristbands, I've bought tickets for them all as they're all well over 6 now. If your little one is 6 or older, the safest policy, imo, is buying them a ticket.

Yup. The last thing you want is to arrive and have them ask for proof of age and not have it. If they are 6 or over make sure you follow the rules. Don't be forced to miss the show because you tried to bend the rules for your kid to get in free. Contact bonnaroo and ask them about their child entrance policy. Take notes and bring the copies of the correspondence with you in case of trouble. Children don't typically have photo IDs, so I don't know how they would do proof of are anyways, do they expect you to bring their birth certificate?
That is hardcore! All the fests here (NOLA) are pretty lenient about children. My kid is HUGE, always has been and have never had issues, even when he was 13 and we said he was 12. How do you bring proof of a 6 yr olds age? Birth certificates? That is just crazy.
I took my daughter last year and had no issues with needing to prove her age. No one ever even asked me how old she was; most people were just excited to see a little one. She was 5 at the time but as tall as a 7 year old.
