Didn't see a thread for this (although my search-fu may have failed me, in which case please delete). I live 30 mins from this one and have been to the majority of them. I've avoided the last two years because it seemed a bit too focused on No Idea bands, but this year has some highlights I just can't miss. Mostly: The Quacking MELVINS who are planted firmly at the top of my band bucket list (well that would actually be the Phantomas Melvins big band, but thats splitting hairs). Also some "exclusive" shows, Hot Water Music, Tim Barry, Lemuria, The Menzingers, Paint it Black. For those unfamiliar, this fest happens the same weekend as the UF vs GA football game that takes place in Jacksonville, so Gainesville basically empties, then re-populates with punks for a few days.
I always look at these lineups and love it. While I'm not so into these bands anymore but I'd be lying if I didn't say I didn't have a soft spot in my heart for it. I got excited that whoever got Mineral back together. Gloria was my jamz way back when.
Hold Tight! is a lot of fun. Its nothing earth shattering but it will put a smile on your face.

Yeah, I'm basically on the same page. I'll almost certainly get a day pass for the Melvins, but that'll likely be it. I'm a massive Tim Barry fan, but I've seen him solo no less then 10 times and it always makes me sad Avail is no more.

Is anyone else going to this? I'll be going mainly for Mineral, Modern Baseball, The World is a Beautiful Place, and the Melvins, but I don't know much else of the lineup. Any recommendations on who to check out?

I'll be there, but I may just single day The Melvins. As far as recommendations:
7 Seconds-Kevin Seconds is a punk legend and all-round nice guy. Always a fun show. A Wilhelm Scream-loud and hard, good crowd, they have a reputation at this fest for their live show and its well deserved Chuck Ragan & the Camraderie- Chuck from Hot Water Music, haven't seen them live yet, but I rarely miss Ragan in Gainesville Greenland is Melting-very solid live, good show to kill some brews Hot Water Music-if you haven't heard of them I recommend their earlier stuff. One of my favorites ever. Radon-Gainesville punk legends, awesome live Strike Anywhere-hard, loud, and fast. Another band with a good live reputation at this fest. Tim Barry-one of my favorite artists ever. Former lead singer of Avail. Solo set is folky/punky. If you've never seen him, he's a "do not miss". Paint it Black-P.A. punk. Great live set.
Bunches more good ones on the lineup, these are just a couple of the more recognizable names.

I can't believe that our resident expert-on-kinda-emo-bands-which-he-just-recently-discovered isn't all over Hot Water Music. They're awesome.

I am now only going Sunday. But holy shit I am excited. You Blew It! > Dads > Modern Baseball > The World is B Beautiful Place And I Am No Longer Afriad To Die > Into It. Over It. > Mineral > Empire! Empire! I was A Lonely Estate is going to be so fun I can't wait
I only went on Sunday. The bands fucking ruled. Modern Baseball, You Blew It!, Kind of Like Spitting, and The World is a Beautiful Place and I Am No Longer Afraid to Die all killed it, but Mineral was by far the best of the day for me. They were on fire and seemed to be genuinely enjoying themselves. They even came back on stage and played another song because the crowd was going nuts.
The venue was cool and the crowd was alright, way too many fucking hipsters though. A good amount of the crowd just stood there with their arms crossed. There was a decent moshpit during Modern Baseball at least.
If you haven't seen Mineral on their reunion tour yet, you really need to.
That's awesome to hear. I'm hoping they keep the momentum up and keep going. Glad you had fun. Did you get to see United Nations? I finally got to see them a few months ago. While I'm not a Thursday fan, I had a blast at this show.

I did not, unfortunately. I ended up only buying a venue pass because all of those acts played back to back in the same place. Really bummed I couldn't see United Nations, Touchè Amorè, or Pianos Become Teeth
