Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I've shot Bonnaroo for several years for a now defunct local newspaper and this year I'll be shooting for web content for the radio station and doing freelance work for whoever wants my photos. I want to shoot more human interest stuff this year because the fans are half of what makes Bonnaroo. It's a symbiotic relationship between artists and fans, and I've neglected half of the story in past years.
I want to do some stories about fans, what Bonnaroo means to you, what you've had to do or sacrifices you've made to get here, and a little bit about your life outside the farm. If anyone is interested feel free to reply here or send me a message and I'll get back with you.
I can't wait to see everyone in my back yard again. It's been too long!
and a little bit about your life outside the farm.
There's life outside the Farm?
But as a novice photo-enthusiast( sounds better than a creep with a camera), I personally have taken FAR more pics of the crowd and the 'scene' than artists. Tho' I'm always jealous of the f'n sweet artist pics some people have later.
I also waste probably more far too much effort just trying to document the graffiti and art on the walls, etc. It's actually what kinda inspired my current interest in photography.

The short version... In 2009, myself and a girl I was casually dating long distance decided that we should go to Bonnaroo together. We ended up having the time of our life despite her limping around all weekend due to having had two infected spider bites drained and packed the Monday prior to us leaving. I was able to reconnect with some old friends, and we both made some really good friends together. Well, that was the start of us becoming more serious. After two more Bonnaroos, and a skipped one (due to $$$), we were married the weekend of Bonnaroo 2013 (in the Bahamas). When I asked my wife what she wanted to do for our first Anniversary, of course she said, "let's go back to the farm." On Sunday, we will celebrate a glorious first year of being married, and five years of (REALLY) being together, at the place it all started.
She has stuck by me through difficult times, a year of long distance courtship, and my nursing school. She works her tail off in her profession, and she is the kindest soul on the planet. Here's to many more Roo's and years with the lady I love.
I am very interested in being involved. This is my 8th year in a row, my 2nd going solo.
I am a female that travels down from NYC without a ticket, usually rides with strangers (although due to time constraints i flew this year). I also never have a ride home. I figure it out once i get to the farm. It's been my tradition for the last 7 years. Every year it's a different adventure!!! #trueroo
I have been blessed with backstage passes for every year since my 2nd year, (i somehow get upgraded) and while im back there i do 3 things to give back. I do unofficial meet and greets. I find hardcore fans of bands ive already met (i see a lot of shows in nyc) and i help those hardcore fans meet their favorite band.
I also get a golf cart and give free rides to patrons, at all hours of the day, instead of them having to pay for festietaxi.
My other tradition is collecting all the ice left to melt in the unlpugged ice machines on Monday and deliver a ton of bags for free to the clean vibes crew. They work so hard to make our fest clean, it's my way of giving back.

I've sent PMs to a couple of people. thanks for your interest.
Man, the people photos are where it's at in my opinion. Every photog gets the artists, and we're all in the same pit shooting the same angles at the same times.
But the crowd, that's where the life is. It's where the love and community begin and the great stories are. I'd rather hear about a woman hitching rides from NYC on a wing and a prayer and a couple meeting at Bonnaroo celebrating their first anniversary on the farm than any amount of Kanye drama.
