I'll admit that suburban, white rap fanboys are the absolute worst/rudest set of music fans. That said, the genre is great. I hope no one complaining about the violence in rap music watches Scorsese or Tarantino films.
S/O to OP for the Clockwork Orange pic. Definitely not a violent film.
You know that about 80% of hip-hop consumers are white and under the age of 30, right?

I'm not saying every suburban, white, under 30 rap fan is bad. It's just a large portion of them seem to be incredibly obnoxious and rude.

First world problems people! Come on!
If you don't like rap be grateful there is something pulling people away from the shows you do want to see. So some people are waiting through the set you want to see for some rap artist later, they won't be at a show you want to see later. I really doubt the bonnaroo lineup I saw in 04 could pull a decent crowd this year.
The big festivals, the Lollas, 'chellas and 'Roos need that kinda stuff to attract the massive and diverse crowds that make them so much fun. Don't like it? Hit a smaller festival that caters more to your specific needs. Stay home and don't deal with it.
From what I've garnered, the real issue seems to be the shoving of the crowds at the shows. I wasn't at Bonnaroo this year, but from what I've read, there was a lot of shoving at A$AP Ferg and Chance The Rapper.
The karmic balance of Bonnaroo is off now that they promote hate speech, by having the likes of Ice Cube (he so cold) play there.
To offset the negative karma they have created, we need more bands like SCI, Lotus, Rush.
Don't let Bonnaroo become another Woodstock 99. Because it's well on it's way.
There's some irony about having a negative post towards one genre of music to promote "positivity".
Modern rappers are some of the most accepting people we have today in the music industry. Frank Ocean has been welcomed with open arms in the rap community by most. Even your nemesis, Ice Cube, said all people should be able to love who they wanted to love... if he's for us gays, he can't be that big of a villain.

I was right in the middle of the A$AP Ferg show and there was no shoving at all before the show. There was a shit ton during but that was more of a mosh pit situation.

I'm pretty sure the OP is one of the many permutations of that weirdo that spammed the board with bunches of threads espousing anti-love for Ice Cube (he so cold). Joined about the same time, plus the points on screen name made earlier.
Figured the Mods missed this one, or he/she was suspended, and can't reply. Either way, it's been a fun thread to derail.
I don't understand what "more real musicians, less rappers" even means. Like more orchestra music? Jazz Bands? Classical Artistt? Cause last time I checked rappers are musicians. That being said, I would love to see these rappers at Roo: Kendrick Lamar Lupe Fiasco Wale Jay-Z Mac Miller

I have personally seen three of these at Roo and see no inherent need for any of the five to appear by themselves in the next several years.

Preachhhhhhh, ONLY Kendrick and Jay-Z need to come to farm (again), but it doesn't need to be this upcoming year or even the year after HD perhaps not even the year after that, though I think Kendrick will be probably be back if his new album drops between now and Roo '15. And the Jigga man needs to/could come back in a few years with somebody alongside him to make his show even another step up from last time.
