Cause these girls rocked IMO. Great way to open my Sunday. I've been wanting to catch these chicks for a while, and haven't, even though they're local. And they did not dissappoint. Fairly small but enthusiastic crowd, engaging and fun frontwoman/lead guitar, and ending the set jumping into the crowd, and then crowdsurfing back to the stage, all as she played the lead on her guitar! Just a damn good fun little set. I dunno know if they were on too many people's radar, even though I saw them make a few lists on the scheduling thread. Hopefully at least a few of the people piling in for GOAT at the end caught some of the set and they made a few new fans.
I was already sold on their older stuff, now I'm definitely diggin' in on the new stuff and will catch them live again. Just had an attitude on stage that I was loving. And set off a great long day on music for me on the last day of Roo.
I was there! In fact, I helped lift Jessi up after she couldn't get the girls in the front to catch her when she wanted to crowd surf.
Sweet. I developed kind of a crush on her during that set i think. The way she would stare down the crowd...and most definitely me ....as she played the leads and sang. Saw the girls in Centeroo later too, but didn't approach em. Kinda wish i had, if only to tell them they rocked it, and I was happy for them being at Roo and the exposure.
