Who is knowledgeable about kayaks? I'm moving to a lakefront home and want to get a kayak to play around with a bit. I was wondering if any of you had advice about what to get/what to stay away from.
There are some inflatable models that are inexpensive and seem to have good reviews. Would that be worth investing in as a starter?
I used to have a really cheap one I got from Dicks sporting goods. I think it was actually the cheapest one they had. It worked really well for flat water. If all you are doing is paddling around a lake then you really dont need to get too fancy.
