So last year (2013), my group rolled into VIP at about 11:30 am on Thursday and got a pretty good camping spot which was pretty close to the bathrooms/showers and the Centeroo entrance. As good as that was, we wanted to see if we could get an even better spot this year, so we got up extra early and made our way to the VIP site hours before the previous year. However, we were directed all the way towards the bottom of the VIP site (down near the What stage entrance)! Why on earth wouldn't they give the better spots to those enthusastic VIP-ers that want to get there as early as possible?! I wonder if any thought is given to this at all by the staffers. It seems that the method in which they place you is totally random and a bit unfair.
I realize that some may prefer to be down near the What stage entrance and consider that better, and I will admit that once the main acts started performing on this stage, it was kind of nice to be down there for those artists that I wanted to see. However, I would much rather be closer to the bathroom/showers and all of the other amenities in VIP. During the heat, you work up a sweat by simply walking from the showers to the bottom of VIP. And why can't they put a few bathrooms/showers down at the bottom? It would definitely cut down on the lines at the other ones and benefit everyone.
I also realize that these are first-world, VIP problems, as I can't imagine doing the GA thing, but still. Was anyone else in the same boat or did it not matter to you?

It's totally random. I asked the people this year and they said since it's new employees each year they load the cars in differently each year. I've arrived 11-11:30 am past few years and yes totally different opposite ends campsite locations each year because they load it differently.
I agree about another set of bathrooms/showers in that lower corner! Even if it's just toilets!

I got there about 9:30 an they sent the 3 cars in front of me up toward the top of VIP but I got sent to the very back corner the last row!! I was disappointed thinking since I arrived fairly early we would get a good camp spot, but that didn't happen!!! I totally agree there should be at least a set of bathrooms toward the back bc it was a pretty good walk to get to either of the bathrooms from my camp!!! But I must agree it was WAY better than GA!!

I've written it elsewhere and I'll write it here again: I concur with the need for another bank of showers and bathrooms down on the bottom of the hill. It would ease the congestion at the other ones.
This is the first year I've done VIP, and I've never had to walk as far to use the facilities than any of the past 3 GA Bonnaroo's I've done. Granted the bathrooms were nice when you got there, although for the size of the VIP area they really ought to better distribute where the bathrooms are located.

My wife and I are planning on arriving at around when the VIP gates open at 7am. Anyone have experience in arriving that early?? I am curious if setting up that early really is amazing.
We hope that this year we luck out with getting setup close to the showers/bathrooms/VIP lounge area. (If you see a "Team Cute Boots" banner stop by and say hi.)

We always get in around 7am in Thursday. Still completely random where they are going to put you. Last year, for instance, they began filling people in on the very far end furthest away from all the VIP amenities. All the way back near the back What Stage entrance.
Didn't make any sense.
All previous years they began filling in right near the main entrance to Centeroo.
From what I remember, in 2012 and 2013, I arrived at the VIP tollbooths around 10am and was placed directly in the center, middle (half the distance from each bathroom). Good spot, would prefer to be closer, but no complaints either way.
I arrived right when the gates opened for VIP in 2013. I was the third car to drive in and I was placed in the very top corner right by the centeroo entrance. It was perfect.

I would so love to have this happen! But really as long as we are just closer than we would have been had we arrived at our usual time 3 hours later. But you know what, honestly it don't matter where we end up, because it will be another Team Cute Boots adventure and I am sure it'll all work out! I can not WAIT to be there!
